 I'm confused. It was entered as TV Series and episode numbers have been entered, but the IMDB listing is for a film. And the wiki page also lists it as a film.

 @night cub: I was confused too when I noticed IMDB has this series listed as a film. Right now this is available as a TV-series on the Swedish national television website with openings and endings just as I suppose it was shown on TV in 1983. My guess is that it was recut into a movie at a later point in time. I guess it doesn't matter if I am right or wrong - all images come from the TV-series.

 This is what the translation came up with:

"The film was originally planned as both a feature film and a TV series and was shown in six half-hour-long episodes on SVT2 starting on Christmas Day 1985."

This might explain why you are seeing it as a TV Series.

 So, I guess, this film could be called a series. Or this series could be called a film. There are two correct answers:)
