Since at least 2004, with the appearance of Caroline the car in “Train Stops Play”.

Probably much earlier for Bertie the bus.

The taxicab on the right is a 1972 Dodge Polara, it's surprisingly the one from the movie "The Last Detail" from 1973, everything from the text and logo on the doors to the silhouettes being identical (Note: Only a 1 star vehicle and doesn't need a page):
