Locomotives:![]() ![]() Very accurate depiction of the Estonian-Soviet frontier in Komarovka - however, their efforts were in vain as the border was modernized in the 1930s and the film is set in 1921. Back then it was a little less modern: https://ajapaik.ee/media/uploads/muis_B6Uy6Fk.jpg -- Last edit: 2020-08-30 21:29:47 |

Movies like this are well-known among viewers who were born and raised in the USSR, they are Soviet cinema classics, but they gained popularity under Russian titles and 99% of IMCDB visitors from post-Soviet countries will search for "Brillianty dlya diktatury proletariata" and not this obscure Estonian title. Yet @Gamer keeps on insisting on using less-known titles, thus making it less convenient for IMCDB visitors. Even if IMDB itself indicates the Russian title as the original one, like in this case. -- Last edit: 2020-09-12 19:00:06 |

Okay, to be fair, the actors here are almost completely Russian, so you do have a point. |

I just want to be able to find this movie by its Russian title using search engine. |

@Dmitry: you are right, it was stupid of me to add the Estonian title. It may have been produced by Tallinnfilm, but only in Russian: https://et.wikipedia.org/wiki/Briljandid_proletariaadi_diktatuurile_(film) Link to "ru.wikipedia.org") Therefore it should indeed have the Russian title. -- Last edit: 2021-03-10 16:00:09 |
