Part 2 of the Bill Douglas Trilogy - picks up where My Childhood finished in late 1945 and moves on for a year or two until final part My Way Home. Again filmed in Newcraighall (mining village near Edinburgh) with a couple of shots in Edinburgh itself looking up Mound Place [Image: 02-51policevanl.jpg]

Just as miserable and grim as the first film, with a splash of child cruelty thrown in. What little plot there is gets trampled by several unexplained characters being added, so it's even worse than My Childhood - despite again lots of acclaimed reviews.
