Being waiting for the full film to be available as some good vehicle scenes. |

Full posting from HQ source - everything new or upgraded. Some location info here. Good 70s film - strong plot, good acting. Not really the "Get Carter" counterpart suggested by some reviews, but some similarities of mood and characters. Agreed - absolutely crammed with things - have tried to be selective with brief 1 backgrounds - there's a lot more ordinary porridge, but discarded as predictable street or motorway clutter of its time. Slightly puzzled how they filmed all the motorway sequences with the Jag. Some were obviously choreographed test track filming, but a lot were real motorway and looked too genuine for private filming on brand new unopened stretches. Which means real filming with the camera car and crew vehicles doing aggressive overtaking/tailgating manoeuvres alongside or within normal traffic. It's done very well, but would definitely not be allowed now. Was it permitted in those days?? Could have been very risky if Bert Foggins in his Porridgemobile got sucked into the dancing, or they misjudged some of the tailgating of trucks and coaches. |
