The second thumbnail with the Beetle-door belongs to the car with the German plate. "MS" stands for MŁnster and "BF" was the county Burgsteinfurt northwest of that town (since 1974 they have "ST" for Steinfurt there).

P.S. The county-code "ST" has an interesting history. In July 1956, when the new, still active system was introduced in Germany, it was not issued - because back in the 1950ies, many people, especially the politicians were still thinking, that sooner or later there will be the real German re-unifications coming, in the borderlines of 1937 ( http://www.deutsche-seite.com/deusei/html/Deutsches-Reich-1937-1945.jpg ). So the project-team has created country-tokens for the towns and counties, lost after WWII, too. For that reason in 1990, at the unification with the DDR, the plate-tokens were already in the drawer for 36 years.
"ST" was reserved for Stettin ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Szczecin ). So the ministery-guys went crazy, when in July the town Stade nearby Hamburg decided unauthorized to issue the "ST". After three weeks and 630 vehicles this was stopped and they had to take STD, which they still have today.

So this footnote has born the "Holy Grail" for collectors of German plates (those few, who even have known that tiny local story).
By an absolute incredible freak event, in April 2009 me clueless dreamer stumbled over a "Holy Grail" (and haven't even noticed that immediately...) After a big, but hidden excitement for some plate-freaks and a large amount of money (it is still the highest price, paid for post-WWII German plates), I could pick the pair up http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/714/1555k.jpg/ :)

P.S.II: In 1974 the official mind has changed, so it was no problem for the new found county Steinfurt to get the "ST".
