Is this the film about the guy who finds a tank under a hillock in what is supposed to be his back garden? If so, it was on British TV years ago, and it's one of the funniest films I've ever seen. Well found, Michał! |

When I saw it it had English subtitles, but - even though I didn't know a word of Polish then - I could have enjoyed it without, because most of the comedy was 'sight gags'. The story basically is that of Antoni, who is allocated a new house on his forthcoming marriage. When he goes to inspect it he finds that work hasn't started because of this big hillock on the site, so he decides to dig it out himself ... but finds this WW2 T34 tank underneath it. He climbs in, accidentally starts it up and puts it in gear ... -- Last edit: 2008-09-17 09:07:05 |

Yes, this part when he is finally starting the engine and then he cannot stop it, so is driving around and to the city centre is definitely the best. Well this film is a bit underrated on the IMDb Not a masterpiece, but indeed there is a lot of very funny moments. Nobody will win with the bureaucracy brought by the Soviet tank(s). |
