"A troubled young Glaswegian woman dreams of becoming a Nashville country star" - basically a fairy story set in Glasgow (with smaller bits in London and Nashville) with Glasgow grittiness instead of soppy gloop. All fairly predictable, but real 3-dimensional characters, a good plot, and a decent script. Plus Julie Walters delivers a magnificent Scottish accent.
