Car action: Chase between three cars; the Buick LeSabre attacks a Mercury Grand Marquis and a Chevrolet Caprice. The latter one avoids few cars and a truck in the action. At the end, the Mercury crashes into a Ford LTD Crown Victoria. -- Last edit: 2008-01-29 23:56:23 |

This movie was made in 2007, but all the cars are 1991 or older... ![]() |

The film takes place in 1988 (which makes the 1991 LTD an anachronism) |

You'd think with the period, and the homage to the NYPD, the set designers would get the NYPD patrol cars' BLUE BODY MATCHING RIMS RIGHT!!! ![]() |

I just saw this movie. It's a good movie, I really recommend it. There is, however, a Dodge Ram NYPD ESU truck missing from this page. Anyhow, if you like crime movies, watch this. -- Last edit: 2008-02-22 00:55:07 |

I do want to see this, I liked "Shooter" (2007) which had Mark Wahlberg in it also. |

Joaquin Phoenix and Robert Duvall, along with Whalberg, really made this movie work. As G-MANN pointed out, Whalberg as an NYPD captain seemed a bit of a stretch, but I liked it overall. Did you like it antp? |

I find it good, yes. In which scene (or better, what time of the movie) is that van visible? |

It's visible in two scenes. The first is when the police raid the russian mobster's drug house at night when Phoenix goes in wired with the lighter. It's seen in the street along with the other police cars. It's also seen in the scene towards the end when the police are congregated on the beach. In the shot where Whalberg is seen sitting in the LTD, you can clearly see it in the background. |
