Some pictures of the movie's cars have appeared online. These vehicles will take part in a massive car chase scene filmed in Iceland. Judging from their state, looks like the filming has already begun. Camouflage V12 Lamborghini Murciélago LP640-4 Local Motors Rally Fighter Subaru WRX STI from the current generation. Howe & Howe Technologies Ripsaw Highly modified armored RAM Another highly armored car. GMC? Another Murciélago and a Charger with extremely wide tires (reminds me a bit of that all-wheel drive drift '65 Mustang) Edit: This new teaser shows the cars and part of the chase, and it looks spectacular: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6edqYl7DCc -- Last edit: 2016-06-03 19:55:01 |

That Dodge Ram has tank tracks instead of wheels! Also, some footage from the Cuba shooting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLyZGOguxW0 And pictures from Cleveland doubling for New York: Mercedes AMG-GT, Toyota GT 86 (or maybe a Subaru or Scion), International MXT and Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. Something tells me one or two cars might get slightly damaged in the Cleveland scenes... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h43GdAlnh8M Lamborghini Murcielago (as a 1 star crash role, for what it looks like), Abarth 500, Volkswagen Passat and New Beetle, Mercedes-Benz S-Class Limousine, Dodge Charger NYPD police car, Ford Crown Victoria, BMW E36, Toyota Prius, Jeep Cherokee, Chrysler 300C (Looks like the Fiat-Chrysler group will provide some cars)... -- Last edit: 2016-06-10 19:25:01 |

Well, since these Chargers are brand-new and Chrysler-Fiat sponsors the movie, they must be pre-production units which would have been destroyed anyway. |

Pretty sure about some cars that weren't mentioned from Cuba shooting: around 2nd second - '51-52 Cadillac Series 62 to the left with white roof, around 3rd second - some versions of '39 Ford V8 Standard (black, in front) and Mercedes-Benz W123 (red, behind Ford), all of which a F&Fs movie seems to be featuring for the 1st time. |

The trailer's coming out next month... Be ready for pictures! |
◊ 2016-12-01 11:52 |
They have teased that there will be a big surprise in the trailer... and I think I know what it is. In the chase scenes filmed in Cleveland we see a black Plymouth GTX being chased by a red Corvette Stingray (Letty), an International MXT (Hobbs), a Bentley Continental (Roman), a Mercedes AMG GT (?), a GT86/BRZ (?) and a Jaguar F-Type (?). It's obvious Toretto won't drive an European or Japanese car (he always drives American muscle cars) so I guess he'll be in the GTX, chased by his own team for some unexplained reason. They will go through the "Civil War" path. So my guess is that the team will end up fighting each other. Let's wait and see if I was right. Also, Sean from Tokyo Drift could be in the GT86/BRZ and Shaw could be in the SLS or Jaguar, but that's not very likely. -- Last edit: 2016-12-01 11:53:21 |

Great, A 2007-2012 Nissan Altima will be destroyed right here. Good thing FCA decided to supplied and destroy their models here. (including pre-production ones) Can be a sense they about to waste a bunch of money after destroying those. (seriously, Vin Diesel and Universal?) Probably, more worst than what some Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (Chysler Group LLC) models in the other movies before this, examples are : /vehicle_885573-Dodge-Charger-LD-2012.html /vehicle_781421-Dodge-Dart-PF-2013.html (Very minor damage, still can be driven anyways) /vehicle_501913-Chrysler-Town-and-Country-2011.html /vehicle_704918-Chrysler-Town-and-Country-2011.html And, so on.. -- Last edit: 2016-12-12 15:56:43 |

Movies that earn more than $1 billion worldwide tend to produce sequels. As such, Fast and Furious 8 was a no-brainer. Yet, the ridiculously lucrative Furious 7 ended with real closure. Now the producers of Fast and Furious Series are more or less ready for the next instalment the Fast and Furious 8. I had an idea for a scene in a Fast and the Furious movie. Some of the main characters would be driving up a parking garage while being chased by the enemy (or the team is chasing someone). They drive off the ledge of the garage and their cars soar over a street below and smash through a massive window of a major Art Museum either in Chicago or New York City. They would be driving through the marble hallways past all the paintings and veering into display cases with rare art. And then there would be one guy working there that is extremely passionate about his job and the collection and one of the cars would get ridiculously close to a Monet etc. and the guy would sigh in relief when it's not touched. Then the main character driving would say a one liner before his car smashes through another window and onto the busy street. |

Looking at the shots here alone, it's amazing (but not surprising) that the series is still hamming up the "murder dozens of people and cause billions of dollars in damage cause why the fu*k not" angle |
◊ 2017-08-18 23:41 |
Yes, when watching all these scenes, I always wonder how no one seems to notice that there were supposedly people in these cars (well, in this one not in all the cars, for once ) |

(e.g. between which and which scenes) If you add new vehicles, please add time-tags for the new ones! Crane: |

it's that trope many of these type of films don't acknowledge (specifically the large amounts of people who would have been severely injured/killed by the actions taken by the main cast.) Hell, i'm shocked nobody involved with this franchise ever considered a revenge story line based on that alone (that would have been great for this film since the only in universe justification for this over the top remote control car scene was to do one simple thing that could have used 2 cars minimum.) |

I really enjoyed this movie. Not as much as Furious 7 but it was decent enough. Some of the chase scenes look cool (if not overly far fetched, given the CGI overkill) and I like the idea of Dom being forced to fight his allies, as it shows what the main villain is willing to do to reach their goals. The scene involving self-driving cars is also interesting, and for some reason I'd like to see the next movie where Dom faces off against one (similar to Knight Rider but with no driver). The part involving the submarine was where it kinda lost me, since the climax felt a bit out of place and not as engaging as the previous movies. Maybe that's me. But regardless, I had fun with it and wouldn't mind rewatching it again as I wait for when Hobbs & Shaw comes out. |
