 The made for movie cars are called "Treer Saltair" (they look like mini Land Rovers) and are operated using some sort of electric/kinetic energy called "Fluid Karma." The commercial for Treer shows one mounting another and having sex through their exhaust pipes. Southland Tales also features a Dodge Magnum, sorry no screen shots.

 And I don't know what model of Ice Cream truck it is, but in the film it's used by none other than Christopher Lambert (the Highlander!) as a front to sell illegal weapons :)

 I replaced most of the pictures by HD version.
I do not think that the Charger & Grumman deserve 4-star rating: I would have given 3. They are not so much visible & used in the movie.

 Filmed in California, since I recognize the license plates. And I love those ones, as well as NY State, Florida or NJ ones! So it's one of my favouri U.S. license plates!
