As usual, you have left out a great deal of vehicles, some well visible and with a role. If you planned to add them later it's no big deal. A minor note: these images are cropped - not saying you did, but this print is clearly taken from YouTube or some other streaming service that crop the top and bottom of old films to emulate widescreen formats. I have the movie in the original academy format, so I know what it's supposed to look like.

indeed, it is a film seen on youtube. I have to slightly crop the image which are screenshots otherwise it appears the red scroll band at the bottom and information at the top. I can't do better. For a film mainly shot in studio, I did not find that there are many vehicles. Unless this is the rule, should we include all of them or only the most interesting ones?

By the way, I don't see any interest to propose vehicles that are absolutely not identifiable because of the quality of the movie. If you want to have fun and you are able to tell me what this car is (in rear window), then bravo! :)

I added some vehicles...satisfied, captain? :)

Yeah, well - there's also a Ford convertible with a small role - it appears around 1 hour 1 minute, with the Mercury.

And please learn the star rating system.

fred1969 a écrit If you want to have fun and you are able to tell me what this car is (in rear window), then bravo! :)

The car is a '41 Cadillac, but not the one listed. It's a Series 67, identifiable by the different windshield trim and angled window frames.
How do I know this? It's perfectly visible at around 27 and a half minute. It's dawning on me that you didn't watch this movie, you only pan'n'scanned it.
As for screencapping YouTube, I've done it sometimes, and the best solution to evade the playbar is to watch the scenes at slow speed and screencap or download the vid (which may result in a quality loss depending on which software you use).
Either way, I have a DVDrip of the film on my hard drive so I don't have to worry about that.
I had to delete two of the cars you submitted as they were clearly too background. But you should get all vehicles with a role and well visible backgrounds, that's a minimum.

I didn’t realise we were supposed to watch all this rubbish!

To be fair I don't watch everything I add neither, but at least I fast-forward through all the footage to make sure I don't miss anything.

I haven't added films for a while due to lack of time, I hope to get back to it soon, but the films I add I like to watch them from beginning to end to do a serious and good job. If you watch a film in fits and starts, or go from 10 seconds to 10 seconds, you can miss an interesting car that appears in a fraction of a second. Another good option is to go through scenes at a speed of 1.5 or 2 seconds. In Spain we have a saying: "Quien mucho abarca, poco aprieta" (he who covers a lot, squeezes little).

Just to make things clear: I love movies so I watch them from beginning to end. Only afterwards, I post some pictures on IMCDB, when I have time; so that everybody can have fun and discover some car models. I'm not here to be a purist, nor to do video post-production and even less an encyclopedia of vehicles! Besides, I find it quite impolite to make some criticisms ...when you have the film at home! What were you waiting for to put the cars of this movie online if what I did doesn't suit you ? ;(

Fair enough, I just have an aversion of seeing a title in the 'last complete' list when it isn't and no comment have been made saying so by the uploader himself/herself. I just thought that if you had watched the film you wouldn't have missed out on those other cars. I only criticize when I see there's potential of improvement. If you're only here to add things the way it suits you, fine - that's why I'm here, too. But I had some great help along the way to get where I am today. As for adding the missing stuff myself - I decided to wait and see what you were going to do, as I find it rude to barge in and take over another user's contribution, except in some cases. If you aren't going to add more to this page I might complete it in the far future, as 1940s movies aren't on my agenda these days.
