 For some reason they copied the numbers of preserved UK vehicles (from 1921-1961 but still in use in 2010), to simulate realistic UK registrations on NZ cars. But having taken that step to get accuracy (the style and font look good) they mounted them wrong for the UK.

 Perhaps they just mounted the plates where the real NZ plates were.
