There's a good reason they don't sell Black & White whisky in UK anymore - it was revolting stuff, more like industrial cleaning fluid than an enjoyable beverage.

For me - Highland Park; if you want a blend, Famous Grouse is fine - probably because it contains some Highland Park. But different folk have different tastes so there's no ultimate answer. B&W came in a green bottle, and I've never come across a decent whisky in a coloured bottle.

Yamazaki seems to be made by Suntory, I thought that was a fictional company... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvPvnx62iUo
I'll look out for it.

JW red label I usually have, but I don't really know where it belongs in the taste range.

The dogs' real names are Poppy, the old grey and Jambo, the now bigger pup.

The Macallan for me.

No, it is a real company -the biggest brewer in Japan- and the whisky is really good. I'm not a big whisky-connaisseur, but sorry dsl, the Suntory I liked best.
A propos Suntory: many people feel annoyed about the docoration on top of the headquarter: Link to "upload.wikimedia.org" ...because it looks like something you flush down in the toilet...
