 Some history about the beginnings of the automobile in Azerbaijan, in Russian:

In 1914 there were already 1304 automobiles in the country, or what is presently it, in 1917 the number had dropped to 101. Looks like the Russian armies (Red, White, Green, Tsarist loyalists etc.) required a lot of them for the war effort. By 1920 it was up to 300.
