So, it is a short film of mine, which I always wanted to upload here since 2014, because it is a first of my productions which more or less features real cars fully seen. Moreover the appearance of Niva actually has a brief and interesting backstory - while the short was filmed on location in Donetsk (Ukraine) the plot was actually taking place in the US so having a VAZ 2121 in the background was slightly weird. I still decided to go through with it, because firstly it's one of my favorite cars and secondly I wanted to make a trademark car for myself, like Sam Raimi's Oldsmobile Delta 88. I should have given more attention to my real directorial trademarks, actually, as I'm sure that a lucky charm of such (you know, filmmakers are a superstitious lot ) could have save it at least partially. The short film turned out one of my worst works ever (and I have quite a lot of crap in my filmography, to be honest), but it was also a nice thing to learn a lot of new tricks. Including how cars behave in the background and how tricky it is to maintain at least vague continuity. There are also a lot of background vehicles I doubt someone will recognize but it will be nice if someone has any thoughts on these. Miscellanea: Blurry: A red car, which could be identified, I think: Something with a taillights on in a post-credits scene (which is a blooper): Probably some kind of Lanos in the same post-credits scene: A (tad) more clear then others shot of a parked car, but I don't recognize what it is: -- Last edit: 2017-02-21 00:51:46 |

Well the Niva is not actually visible and would be deleted normally but I guess it can stay as a favour to you the artist. |
