You do make a point, the Mouseling family's car is a bit to generic.

The Wolseley 18/80 was the closest car that resembled it, but almost all Wolseley's look like that.

But it does look like a modified Ford Pilot V8 :think:

At first I thought this truck was an AEC, and I think I was right!, It looks like a AEC Regent III Merryweather fire engine with a crane insted of a ladder:
