This film was made in 2003 and appears to have been set in 2003 (have not read anything to say otherwise). By 2003, Police in Australia used either VX or VY Holden Commodores and BA Falcons as their marked police cars. Further to this, the EB Falcon pictured features some no-name brand, K-Mart-spec wheelcovers and Australian Police forces always either have the factory wheel covers or the optional "Police Pack" wheels that are normally silver steel wheels with centre caps (different for Ford and Holden), devoid of wheel covers. Having said that, it appears the budget of that film would not have stretched far enough to get vehicles that were contemporary to the setting.
