In which country were made the traffic lights for the COMECON-block? Wasn't the rule, that every country of the "brotherhood" has to be specialized in specific industrial goods -and the production of non-allowed goods was stopped by law- also going for traffic lights? |

Theoretically, yes. Practically - honestly, not so much. For exapmle: training aircrafts for all Warsaw Pact armies were to be manufactured only in Czechoslovakia (L-29/39), but Poland used domestic made TS11 'Iskra'. Hungary made their famed Ikarus bus for all COMECON countries, however buses were made also in Czechoslovakia, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria. Most of trams were made by CKD Tatra, but, again, Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary and Romania used mainly domestic made trams (see above). -- Last edit: 2013-12-15 12:28:31 |
