I actually think to remember this movie. I possibly watched it for about its full time in the late 80s while being in Jordan. I was learning arabic but I was not in the degree to understand a word in a movie. I just was told it was Egyptian and I do remember both the black 1953 Buick Super Riviera and the light blue 1956 Century Riviera. As crazy for old Buicks I fixed the two cars as the first Buicks with Egyptian plate present in my memory and it has been a sweet experience today to remember my yougth in those marvellous places in an age in which I was optimistic. |

Shams means "Sun" but darbet ? Could you tell me what does it mean ? Just to know. Unfortunately I forgot most of my Arabic but I took my old good stuff in which I learned. I am thinking to learn five words again per day every day but I am everytime forced to postpone. I was so happy last week to find a Syrian restaurant in which I spoke a bit with the kind and patient waiters. |
