The same happens to Jet Li's The Master. Filmed in 1989, but released in 1992 because of his box office success in Once Upon a Time in China (1991), when he became a major star. That's why the movie was released as 黃飛鴻'92 ("Wong Fei Hung '92"): "Wong Fei Hung" is the original chinese title and character name of Once Upon a Time in China series.
