@opal: Product placement means a deal between the film producer and a company to feature their products in the movie. The fact that a particular car appears in a movie does not necessarily mean that there was a product placement deal.

Or maybe the makers wanted to place their own cars in the series, as the well-known http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andr%C3%A9_Franquin has done it always. Otherwise:
a) these Asian animation series are in for lightyears worse quality than these classics :o
b) many animation series -even for Disney, for example "Pocahontas"- were actually made in North Korea - where noone has a private car :p

And the feeding frenzy in 007 films. Probably the only unplaced products are the street lights, but they're trying to break that barrier ....

In general, it seems Japanese cartoons are far more detail-oriented than others.American cartoons feature intentionally non-descript cars, whereas the Japnese cartoons usually base them off real ones.Im thinking maybe legal issues are different.Maybe Japanese cartoonists do not need to pay automakers for the rights to use their designs, but american filmmakers do. Or maybe Japanese viewers crave authenticity more than American viewers and shows for American audiences dont need to be more specfic with the details since few people would pay attention anyway.

for sure that few people would pay attention on the Brand. maybe is not important. Most of Japanese cartoons are make Realism drawing, put real logo, and something wrong spelling. Most of them are Japanese Brand and some other Country too.

Which would be the only vehicles, we would like to see here at IMCDb. All this coarse-drawn generic junk is as well annoying as useless, too.
