Some stunning photography, amazing scenery, and a fascinating insight into an unusual community and way of life. Some clunky moments and the sentimentality button is pressed too much in some scenes, but it is superb and well worth investigating. Has a lot in common (Mongolia location, nomadic tribe and their way of life, etc) with Urga, one of my all-time favourite films. Although a doc, am posting some 1 backgrounds because we have very few films from this part of the world and the captures should be clear enough for good IDs. The story of Aisholpan, a 13-year-old nomadic Mongolian girl who is determined to become the first female eagle hunter in twelve generations of her Kazakh family. Some stunning photography, amazing scenery, and a fascinating insight into an unusual community and way of life.
