 Sponsored by Hyundai, as this was made for Hyundai's brand new electric car division, Ioniq, originally started as a project for eco mobility, then it became a compact liftback in 2016, available either a hybrid, plug-in hybrid or electric, now it is an actual car brand for electric cars to complete Tesla Motors, similar what they also did with the Hyundai Genesis in 2008 before becoming into its own luxury brand in 2017 to rival Mercedes-Benz and BMW, with the former Genesis sedan becomes the Genesis G80 and the Hyundai Equus becomes the Genesis G90, later followed by its own releases like the G70, GV80 and GV70.

There are three electric cars that Hyundai has planned for that brand:
- The Ioniq 5, a compact crossover.
- The Ioniq 6, a mid-size sedan.
- The Ioniq 7, a mid-size crossover.
