What's up now with the validating? I'm waiting for over 4 minutes now and nothing has happened! The advantage of not being an admin: vituperating, nagging and demanding, but no background work at all |

/vehicle_569615-Volkswagen-K70-Typ-48-1972.html Vituperating, now that is a good word. I must make a note to use it more often. -- Last edit: 2013-01-30 19:38:52 |

Do we list these kind of documentaries (new entries)? |

From http://www.dict.cc/?s=st%C3%A4nkern (yes, G-MANN doesn't recommend it) |

A little bit a dime a dozen these docs by Boulevard Entertainment: http://www.boulevard-entertainment.com/index.php?target=products&product_id=5484 http://www.automotobookshop.com.au/brands/Boulevard-Entertainment.html |

I have many more DVDs from this series if this is a valid contribution. |

As Walter's pointed out, we already have these documentaries listed as a series (Great Cars). But that's OK, we can just move over any cars not listed there and replace pics with Kudos' DVD captures. |

Or should each of these episodes be listed seperately? (I ask because that Great Cars page is pretty big) -- Last edit: 2013-01-30 23:11:48 |

We already have various episodes listed separately under the French title 'Automobiles de rêve': /movies.php?title=Automobiles+de+reve |

That's the problem with documentaries: the same images end up in many identical things. Not worth listing if it is just a duplicate of what we already have... Before moving pics to another documentaries we must be sure that they all used the same images, i.e. was the car that you want to move also seen in the other documentary? If there are duplicate pages (same car listed twice) the old page should be kept (Google indexed, links between pages here on the site, comments, etc.), even if then we put on it the newer pic. It would maybe be interesting to split that by episode, as indeed the other page is quite big. If the French one is the same thing, titles should be at least changed so all can be found at the same time. -- Last edit: 2013-01-31 17:32:25 |

So, should we? Yes or no? Need a decision (others can give their input as well) Reasons for doing it: Each episode looks at a different make, so it would seperate them better. Great Cars page is already pretty big and kudos says he's going to do more. Reasons for not doing it: Might be awkward splitting the Great Cars page up into episodes because there's no episode list that says what each episode number is. IMDB doesn't have the episode organised well. Some may think it's unneccesary to have loads of different entries for this "series" of documentaries. -- Last edit: 2013-02-01 15:18:27 |

If you sort by episode number, you see for each episode which one is the main make. If more info about episode numbers is needed, maybe just ask Coopey & Stronghold |
◊ 2013-02-01 15:59 |
Yes, actually once you sort by episode number it's easy to see which episode covered which make. So what do you think? |
◊ 2013-02-04 15:17 |
To me it is better to split by make, due to the huge amount of vehicles in total, and the fact that some are already listed by make (this one + those under the French titles) The sorting/merging will take some time however... And as I said it is better to keep the old ones rather than the new ones (but putting the new pics on the old pages) |

Can you (as webmaster) move a whole bunch of them at once? |
◊ 2013-02-04 17:00 |
Antp? |
◊ 2013-02-04 17:25 |
You are a little impatient Yes I could change a bunch at once, if I have a list of which episode has to be moved to which "movie" page. |
◊ 2013-02-04 17:30 |
OK then, I'll make some pages and tell you which episode to move. |
