interesting tale about this movie.......when CB radio came to the UK and was made legal, everyone who was on the CB at the time rented this video(on Betamax..good old days!), in order to learn the CB jargon which the characters spoke..then found out that no one on the CB band in the UK spoke it!!..because no one could understand it....result was CB radio in the UK consisted of people, usually next door neighbours speaking total rubbish which they could easily talk over their garden fence, hence CB radio in the UK died a death....and with the advent of affordable mobile phones, became as dead as the preverbial Do Do!!...its probably the only thing to come from the USA which never caught on.

okay, that\'s fine and okay, thumbnails, but can someone do me a favor switch the listing from this truck from a 1974 Kenworth K-100 to a 1971 Kenworth K-123

/vehicle_247367-Kenworth-K-100-1974.html as it is listed on Dan Bruno\'s page as a 1971 Kenworth K-123

http://stlouisdumptrucks.com/ConvoyMackTruck/LizardTongueKW.html

and what can I do to have the 1974 Kenworth W-900 A approved to have a page as it doesn\'t have it\'s own page yet

Thanks,
GTO 990

Well he doesn't actually it's a 1971, someone else did, so I just went with it, but he does say it is an early 70's model, so it's definably not a 1974 here's a link to a 1971 Kenworth K-123 http://www.kenworth.com.au/uploads/pics/Grey_Ghost_hist.jpg

Sorry but that sounds like a complete urban myth - that it took off but died because of stupid kids messing around on it. CB became popular in the US because of the long distances, relatively flat terrain (meaning signals travel further) and isolation of being out on the open road, all part of the trucking culture. It also took off in Australia for those same reasons. The UK has none of these things, so why would it have taken off there at all? Kids had nothing to do with it's lack of success.

Nope. So far as I can tell, the "long-haired friends of Jesus" are in this vehicle in the film, the song lyrics notwithstanding: /vehicle_24146-Chevrolet-2-Ton-1955.html
