Not much info on imdb but I guess this is set in Europe but shot at the studio in the US. Imdb mentions a goof about 1950s car seen out of the window. Maybe it is set in two different periods - the MG is certainly a later era than the Model A and the Duesenberg.

Same era but the MG will be an anachronism.

EDIT: and indeed set in Europe briefly: the Robert Taylor character is sent to Stockholm (arrives in Model A taxi) for an operation and the MG ride is during rehabilitation.

I see the thumb with - I presume - Cyd Charisse dancing. I think she was primarily a dancer. Perhaps she, like Cameron Diaz today, gets to dance in all of her movies?

She's mostly the star of 1940s musicals, not terribly interesting to me. Some with Fred Astaire... I prefer Ginger.

Cyd Charisse was one of the most gorgeous dancers to ever come out of Hollywood. I remember seeing a clip of her dancing years later, in the 1970s, on a TV special and she even looked great then.

In that case you're older than your handle suggests. :D

I just read up on Cyd Charisse on imdb. Seems she was just that bit more special if you have an interest in musicals. At 5 ft 7 1/2 she was tall for her generation. Interesting to see that at the time of her death she had been married for 60 years and her husband, Tony Martin, must still be alive and celebrated his 98th birthday on Christmas Day 010.

I saw this title, and I thought of the 1995 Parker Posey movie:

The title is bloody awful, completely wrong for the movie.
