Saw the film yesterday. Several car action sequences. Notable cars were: Volkswagen Passat B6 Variants: One was driven aggressively at the beginning and One crashed into the Honda Accord and the Accord split in half near the end of the film. Nissan Elgrand: Blocked by an overturned bus while driven by the baddies and bumped it several times and got away. Lexus RX350: Bumped a motorbike and overturned. Got air for one or two seconds but the scene was obviously done via CGI. Land Rover Defender and Toyota Camry XV20: Short car chase, nothing special. Yep, the film was sponsered by BMW and most of the vehicles in the film were BMWs. A 5-series, a New 740Li, a 3-Series, a 220i Active Tourer, a 430i and a new X5 were used. All of them were completely unscratched except for the X5 which got gunshots and destroyed. -- Last edit: 2016-07-10 07:29:17 |

But some of BMW models are not popular in Hong Kong, such as X-Series. |

If you want to see many BMW X-models, go to Northkorea. I've seen a plenty of them over there, especially in Pyongyang. The higher militar ranks like them (the political nomenklatura prefers Mercedes). |

Usually in Hong Kong, 1 & 3 Series are common. The others like 6-Series, very few are sold successfully. I have seen that a 2002 BMW E66 is sold in the price level of a Honda Accord of the same year. At the same time a BMW E46 is the same price level of that Honda Accord. |

even if it can land or take off vertically ? |

Well ... I know some pilots consider a landing to be nothing more than a controlled crash ... but I'm afraid this one's gonna do nothing but crash... |
