I liked the original too, and I'm looking forward too it myself, even though I'm not a big fan of musicals. Although, I only remember Tracy Turnblad wearing white lipstick(the alternate title for the original, BTW), but I'll bet Queen Latifah's going to kick as much ass as Ruth Brown did. -- Last edit: 2007-11-29 17:22:05 |

I'm sorry I missed it in the theaters, but I'm glad it's on DVD now. |

by mistake i bought fullscreen instead of widescreen, so if someone with wide wants to redo the images, i did notice from the images from the trailer vs the fullscreen, that alot is cut off. |

No, indeed not very common in Europe, i never pay attention to it because i suppos each movie has its format, but for sure i am never allowed to buy two different ones. |

I remember that some movies, like Harry Potter, were released in both formats; but usually there is only the widescreen one. Or in some rare cases you get both on the DVD: my DVD of "Payback" has fullscreen version on side A and widescreen version on side B. |

Very strange and funny, in the world of "Hairspray" 1962, no Plymouth, no Rambler, no Volkswagen ???? |

In the movie appears for a short while at the beginning a Canadian buile 1956 Metero, a Ford clone with a big "V" motive on the grille... |
