Ken Loach film set in Ireland based on true story in 1932 about a bloke who rebelled against oppression/prejudice - a familiar Loach theme - but doesn't really get any momentum or hit the buttons properly, so its messages dribble out instead of making you feel a great injustice was done. Could easily be a bland cosy-Sunday-night-on-the-sofa mini-series with a fairly predictable plot and lots of cliched stereotypes to prevent any undue excitement.

 JR-M makes me chuckle whenever he's on t'telly and clearly has a brain the size of a small-to-medium sized planet, but as PM - seriously??? If Jeremy becomes PM, then I would rejoice and maybe even stop seeing Scotland's only direction as independence. But I think we're in familiar disagreement territory again, so maybe best to go no further.
