This was unspectacular, too cloudy over here.

I remember having to wear the special paper glasses.

I was at the best place for it in Falmouth /Cornwall, though the sky was cloudy, it was very spectacular :)

Also here it was well visible (you can see at the pic), though we didn't see it completly covered, but in about 80/90%.

Another result of the global warming! :o ;)

By the way, what do you think about this theory that the sun don't give so much heat and we will live a new Ice Age, in the next years? Horrible! Now, here are -17/-11. In Bucharest! C'est de la merde! Sorry!

The most important principle: never lick yellow snow!

Here it's cold, too, -15/-11. Not too bad for us, the house is well insulated, the K 70 in the shed, its battery here at the recharger and we don't have to travel around the weekend. Otherwise I would be more cantankerous - because my Vectra hasn't the marvellous http://www.eberspaecher-standheizung.com/heizgeraete/produktuebersicht.html  as my previous Omega. Some day, when a glimpse of wealth appears, a retrofit can come.

For example the people, who encounter it the first time in life. For those it's a big experience, which they never forget. I'm very sure, that we have several members over here, which never had experienced snow and ice :) All the fellows from Middle America, South Africa, Australia, East Asia, etc.

There has been no snow in the area where I live this winter. Though we are supposed to be getting some on Saturday/Sunday.

Just three, already melted snowflakes last week. The first and only time this winter, when I had thrown a fistful of salt in front of the house. Now it's only deep frost without any snow. Sure, in the mountain areas it's different.

A friend of mine e-mailled me a powerpoint of images showing the conditions in Romania (on the black sea). It really does look almost like you guys are having another ice age. Hope you have not frozen solid Andre.

I saw a similar one in French, but with small differences; for example it included the fact that Russian cars won't start around -45
Also, the point of an absolute zero is that you can't go below it :o
