Filmed in Thailand. One scene is set in Hong Kong, with the Nissan Cefiro then in metro, I do not know if it was filmed there or not as that location is not mentioned on IMDB.

Noticeable in the movie but not really well visible on the pictures, no role anyway.

If you post captures of a metro train, it will be possible to see if it's really Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Mass Transit Railway:

Bangkok:

EDIT: I just realised: since Bangkok Dangerous was made in 1999, it cna't have used the Blue Line subway, which opened in 2004. The elevated Skytrain opened in December 1999, so we can probably rule it out too.

When I first saw the title, I thought this was the new Nicholas Cage movie.

Me too, and I wondered, how did they get the captures? This movie isn't even in theaters yet! :D

The insides of both the MTR trains and the Bangkok Metro trains look quite similar actually.
