麻薬売春Gメン 恐怖の肉地獄

Filmed in the US-controlled Okinawa, where they still drove on the right at that time, which is why all cars seem to be left-hand drive (even the Japanese cars).
Which brings the question : how did they market Japanese brands (and their models) in Okinawa ? i.e. Toyopet as Toyota, Nissan as Datsun etc or the same as in the mainland Japan ?

IIRC they were all marketed the same as in Japan, except with LHD instead of RHD. A few of these pre-730 vehicles somehow survived the Okinawan ocean breeze to this day in fact.

Ah okay, thanks for clarifying :)

Though I find it slightly peculiar. I assume it would have been less costly/labor intensive for Japanese car makers to send export-oriented lhd models to Okinawa without having to produce cars specifically for Okinawa with left hand drive and domestic marketing. Most of the Japanese cars here could be found in many lhd South-East Asian countries as well, that is unless Japanese cars in SE Asian countries were marketed the same as in Japan ?

That I'm not sure... Classic car magazines like Old Timer and Nostalgic Hero treat the Okinawa-spec cars as though they were exactly the same as their mainland counterparts but with LHD, but they never specify on whether they have any commonality with their SEA-spec/EU-spec counterparts
