When you say "visible in one scene", you mean background car or 2-star ?

Kowalski

wrong aspect ratio for pictures :/ (they are in 1.85 rather than 2.35)

All the pictures??

antp BE

2006-07-31 22:18

Some of them... but how come that they do not all have the same size? :??:

DIEHARD NL

2006-07-31 22:23

That is because I cut some things out of the frame... I have tried 2.35 for some images, but they are misformed. I'll check the existing ones anyhow...

antp BE

you have to resize before cutting. After cutting it is impossible to find the right tratio :/
(btw, I usually do not cut pictures except black borders, I think that it is better to show the car how it appears on the screen in the movie)

The ratio problem is more visible on the Laguna, Jeep, R5 and Firebird/Taurus.

I'll replace those and try to do less cutting...

Yes, but it looks a little too "thin" on that picture.
By the way, few other pictures of TGVs: /movie_90228-Le-telephone-sonne-toujours-deux-fois.html

Very good site Alexander ;) . They did not have much in the US though (probably because their isn't much), just the AmTrak Acela and the JetTrain. But, America nowadays really sucks at speed, aside from the Acela, there really isn't anything here  . I am proud of America's past railways and trains: Santa Fe Super Cheif, Frisco Railroad's Texas Special, Milwaukee Road's Hiawathas, Pennsylvania's Broadway Limited and the GG1 electrics and gigantic Duplex engines, New York Central's 20th Century Limited with the streamlined 2-6-4 Drefus Hudsons, Union Pacific's Challengers and 4-8-8-4 "Big Boys" and the Turbines. So much, but today we have nothing to be proud of, all the great railways are gone (like in the automobile world there is The Big Three, in the railway world there was the Big 6): Santa Fe, Pennsylvania Railroad, New York Central and The Rock Island Line. All we have is AmTrak (and their decent Acelas, and the Acela HHP-8 dual-cab electrics) and Union Pacific, which still has the super heavy duty freight engines like the MACs and Dash-9s. Oh, and BNSF and N&S are decent roads.

Yes I suppose that US trains are more famous for their past big trains than for the speed of modern engines.
I really like to play with the US train set made for Transport Tycoon Deluxe + TTDpatch:
http://www.as-st.com/ttd/newusa/index.html
There are also sets of other trains, like German and UK ones:

Cool, I really like train tycoons and simulators. I have Railroad Tycoon II, which is 2D and very old. But it has like 70 or more trains, from around the world. I also have the 2001 Microsoft Train Simulator (MSTS), which is 3D and very realistic, but it was a sort of small game because it was one of Microsoft's first ventures into the 3D simulator world. It features the Amtrak Acela, availible in the HHP-8 dual-cab or the Acela Express, a Golsdorf 4-8-2 leading the Orient Express, a Burlington-Northern Santa Fe Electro-Motive Division GP38-2 and General Electric Dash 944c W, a LNER 4-6-2 Flying Scotsman train and Odakyu Electric Railway Co. 2000 Series transit electric, a 7000 Series streamlined express and a 3000 Series high-speed express.

Transport Tycoon is quite old (first release in 93 and DeLuxe version in 95 if I remember well), but it is still nice to play with that game, especially as some people managed to modify it to improve things, add vehicles, make it work in Windows XP, etc.

Ya, Railroad Tycoon II is, I think, from 1998 (so it isn't THAT old) and I know for fact the MTST was released in 2001. I really like the PC mods, I have a Burlington Northern Santa Fe cabboose mod, and quite a few others. I haven't done modification to RRT yet though.

And, cool site Gag Halfrunt, I bookmarked it ;) .

In this movie were also a Peugeot 305 or 505 (very brief scene, not much of the car visible, since gets destroyed by the R25), and a Plymouth Reliant (or Dodge Aries...), both **. ;)
