http://movingimage.nls.uk/film/1820 'A look at the development of sources of power, the industries, and new towns along the borders of the River Forth.' Plenty of cranes for mike962, plenty of classic British lorries for JCB and plenty of jibs and a Rootes-jewel for dsl. A distant Plaxton-bodied(?) Bedford VAL14, light cream so most probably operating for Wallace Arnold. Assorted background construction machinery. The crane has a nameplate that may read Ruston-Bucyrus. A distant tractor, which I believe to be a Massey Ferguson 135. An obscured Oxford or Cambridge. Assorted traffic. Does anyone know what the car closest to the camera in the second picture is? |

Quite possibly, thanks. It looked somehow American to me - I had considered a Chevrolet Corvair wagon, though it looks a little small. |
