Trust me on this. ALL AUSTRALIAN VALIANTS ARE CHRYSLERS. I am President of the R & S Series Valiant Car Club of NSW and have seen a lot of Valiants in Australia. They are refered to by people who don't know better as just Valiants but they are all Chryslers in Australia. They were never sold as a seperate make. Chrysler is the make. Can we put this to rest now. |

It is a little hard to tell from this pic, but I am almost certain this is a 1962. 1960-61 had an oblong grille badge which doubled as the hood release lever. They also had a very narrow strip across the top of the grille. This one has a wide strip across the top of the grille indicating a 1962 and the round badge in the centre of the grille indicates a 1962 Valiant Signet hardtop. Compare my Australian 1962 SV1 (equivalent to US 1962) http://changa.tripod.com/paul.html and this US 1961 Hardtop http://changa.tripod.com/pulo.html |
