This car pops up a lot in the background on this series. Here are a couple of more shots from season two, episodes 9 and 11:

This isn't a very definitive reference, as we've already proven here the '71 isn't the only Plymouth wagon used by the Bradys (not even the first one).

The one on this page is definitely a '72.

I found a customized '64 El Camino, I never was able to get a good, unobstructed shot of it.

The one seen in the background here may be a '60 model. I have a feeling both came from the Barris garage.

1964 Imperial Crown Convertible [VY1-M]
The Munsters (1964-1966)
This was from the brief unaired pilot that was sold to CBS. It and the movie "Munster Go Home" were the only Munsters projects filmed in color in the 1960s, evidently the producers preferred black and white just to save money. 2009-12-03 23:16

It actually looks identical to the '64 you have linked except for the rear molding. Could that strip have been optional?

...and it does look just like these:

1971 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible
The Brady Bunch (1969-1974)
This is a '71 with a '72 rear clip attached, since Plymouth didn't make any Barracuda convertibles after '71. They evidently provided cars like this one to the sets of "Mannix" and "Mission: Impossible," both of which, like "The Brady Bunch," were shot at the Paramount lot. Since this was only used in one scene in one episode, I think it was likely borrowed from one of those other shows. 2009-11-27 20:19
1971 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible
The Brady Bunch (1969-1974)
Axl, I think those two sets of numbers are the ones that keep getting confused. I hear some people argue they only made about 7 Barracuda convertibles, Hemi 'Cuda or not, but I think your numbers make more sense. 2009-11-27 20:17

The Munsters (1964-1966)
I just think it looks too small to be a Fairlane, otherwise the Fairlane would at least be my second choice. The rear fender looks more like a Falcon, it's missing the Fairlane mini-fin over the tail light and I would think Barris would've left the fin there. He always seemed to like fins. The curve around the tail light seems to match the Falcon as well, the Fairlane sits a little higher. Fairlane would otherwise be a reasonable possibility, and if it's a Fairlane at all it would definitely be a '63 IMHO.

Then again, I can't find any of Barris' Falcons online, though I did see a couple customized by Vince Gardner (the "Cayuse" Falcon).

OK I got my DVD of that Munsters episode in the mail today, and sure enough it's a kustom. Check out this alternate shot of the front grille:

So it's likely not recognizable as whatever car it started out as. Now I'm leaning more heavily toward the 1963 Ford Falcon, maybe the Futura. I base this on the windshield frame, the rear fender and the little vent on the hood.

The Munsters (1964-1966)
I have "The Munsters" in my Netflix queue and plan to pull images from it as my next TV project. The disc that has this episode is already on its way to me so hopefully I can get a better glimpse of this car. The rear fender does, really, look like a Ford Falcon, almost dead on in fact. But the side trim and front fender are throwing me way off. Then again this could very well be a Kustom which would explain the different look.

Firebird86, I saw the car you're referring to. The '63 Fairlane modified by Barris, had an "interrupted roof" (section missing just above the front seat) and I don't think this is that car.
