1948 Buick Roadmaster Convertible Sedan [76-C]
The Real McCoys (1957-1963)
In this second season premiere, the McCoys trade in their old Ford for this car, until they realize Grandpa was attached to the old car. So they send this one back and get their old car.

1958 Ford Courier Sedan Delivery [78A]
The Real McCoys (1957-1963)
This may very well be a Courier, I Googled "1957 Ford Courier" and found a few just like this one. 2010-03-09 20:14

There were actually a lot of (mostly obscured) '58 Fords on this used car lot, which is interesting since they would've been brand new when this episode was broadcast in 1958. 2010-03-09 20:01
1958 Ford Courier Sedan Delivery [78A]
The Real McCoys (1957-1963)
Sedan Delivery isn't a model name, it's a vehicle type (like station wagon or convertible). Here's another, rather blurry shot, but just enough to make out the '57 tail lights. This also shows part of what could be a "Country Sedan" nameplate but I wasn't sure enough about that to call it that when I posted the pic. I would've otherwise guessed Ranch Wagon based on the two doors.

The shape of the front fender suggests stacked headlights, so maybe mid to late 1960s? 2010-02-28 14:03
1965 Ford Custom Two-Door Sedan
Cannonball (1976)
I've always loved the tail lights on the '65 Custom, I think they actually look better than the ones on the higher trim version. 2010-02-28 14:01
1955 Studebaker Champion Custom Four-Door Sedan
The Mod Squad (1968-1973)
You're not kidding about the mistreatment, and the sad thing is, they were strictly done that way (both on the show and *for* the show) just for entertainment! It's supposed to be part of a car acrobatic show. I wonder if those cars were as rare in 1968 as they are now. 2010-02-26 20:18

Route 66 (1960-1964) Season 4 will be the final season, it was cancelled in 1964. So far season 4 hasn't been released on DVD yet but I'm told that could come soon. 2010-02-23 13:38

Walgreen's was pretty popular back in the day, they even advertised on network radio programs in the U. S. 2010-02-22 20:11
1972 Ford LTD
The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970-1977)
This is from the episode's establisher shot, apparently stock footage shot at a Ford dealer. 2010-02-22 20:07
The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970-1977) Found two more cars in the opening credits, that are too small or obscured for their own pages:

[Image: mtm11c.6705.jpg][Image: mtm30a.8703.jpg]

The first pic, to the right of Mary's Mustang, shows a 1970 Ford full size (Galaxie or LTD), and the second shot shows a 1968 or so Buick Riviera.

1973 Ford Pinto Runabout [64B]
The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970-1977)
The opening establisher shot has a few other Pintos as well:

[Image: mtm324g.1701.jpg][Image: mtm324i.1848.jpg]

The LTD has its own page, but I'm also seeing some Ford Courier pickup trucks, an early 1960s Ford F-Series and a Ford Country Squire. There's also one non-Ford: a 1963 Chevy Impala.

On the Town (1949) I'm disappointed I couldn't get more cars out of this one, considering the location shooting on the streets of New York. They were too blurry, too obscured, too distant/small or seen out windows of the cab. There's even a 1949 Ford Woody that goes by twice but it's always too blurry. I'm guessing the director wasn't a car buff. 2010-02-22 15:35
1973 Ford Mustang
The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970-1977)
The first of two cars, Mary is seen shopping for, in the only episode ever where cars were seen onstage and incorporated into the plot. 2010-02-22 15:33
1973 Ford Mustang Convertible [76D]
The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970-1977)
The second of two cars Mary is seen shopping for in this episode, and she (with Rhoda's help) ends up buying this one...even though she doesn't like yellow. 2010-02-22 15:32
1946 De Soto De Luxe Taxicab Skyview [S-11]
On the Town (1949)
This car was driven throughout the movie by Betty Garrett's character, a cabbie and Frank Sinatra's love interest:

Notice the hubcaps seem to disappear and reappear, and in this next pic, the crew and lights are reflected in a hubcap.

1970 Ford Mustang
The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970-1977)
This should be three stars by the way. It only appears in the opening credits but it appears a lot, and of course the show's star is driving it.

Route 66 (1960-1964) By the way, Vilero, I just bought my own copy of all of season three. (I've been renting seasons 1 & 2.) It should be arriving in my mail very soon. If you're still interested in separating the show into two pages, let me know. 2010-02-21 22:12

1955 Buick Century Two-Door Tourback Sedan [68]

I'm going with 1966 or '67 Chevrolet El Camino. It has the Chevy rally wheels, plus I saw it in the photo with the Rambler Cross Country.
