The Fast and the Furious 6 (2013) I predict this movie is going to suck. 2013-05-12 07:24
Smokey and the Bandit II (1980)
trucker wrote I wonder, what did they do to the Trans-am and the GMC General?

Who cares what happened to that Trans Am, that was an ugly piece of crap. GM really screwed up that car in 79, 80 and 81. Why do you think the Rockford Files bird never got any older than 78? It was because James Garner didn't like the style of it.

1980 GMC General
Smokey and the Bandit II (1980)
Fires and rumours aside, Just out of curiosity id like to know why they switched from Kenworth to GMC. Did they get a super awesome deal on GMC? Did they want a change? or perhaps was a GMC exec sleeping with the right movie big wig to shill a new product? 2013-05-09 06:28
Beer for My Horses (2008) This movie sucked. 2013-02-12 09:44
1982 Ford F-100

1966 Datsun Sports 1600 [SPL311]
Sliders (1995-2000)
This pic is pretty grainy and hard to see but this Datsun appears to me to be the same one used in one of The Rockford Files movies

1971 Ford Custom 500
Gone in 60 Seconds (1974)
Ross wrote Both LTD and Galaxie were available as 4-door sedan (pillared door windows) *and* 4-door hardtop (frameless windows). The LTD has a different grille. This one might be a Galaxie (500), but it could also be a Custom (500) which was the base model and used as police car.

The only framed LTD's iv ever seen is the mexican made LTD and they had push bars on the bumpers and were equipped with stockpiled dashboards from the 69 fords.

gator wrote Its a galaxie 500 not a custom 500. custom 500's never had chrome window trim on the doors.

I agree with Gator that its a Galaxie but it also appears to have '72 LTD headlight bezzels. when this movie was made it was made on a shoestring budget. most if not all of the vehicles used were "borrowed" from a friends car lot.

that's not completely unheard of though as parts for the 71 and 72 full size are interchangeable.
I myself have a 71 ford Galaxie 500 with 72 LTD headlight bezzels .

MythBusters (2003-2013)
CA_NES wrote What myth was this?

That's a good question but I'm sure its something I and a lot of people on this site wouldn't like.
I wouldn't put it past these two numbnuts to scuttle the barge and drown that poor innocent ford.

1994 GMC Sierra 1500 Regular Cab SLE Z71
The Rockford Files: I Still Love L.A. (1994)
Neptune wrote So this replaced his rounded-line GMC. They could have at least gone with the two tone grey and burgundy. These trucks were still available with two tone paint work for a few model years, with upper main color, center secondary color and lower main color configuration, like the rounded-lines.

The first thumbnail of the second set reveals that horrid hard plastic dash. These trucks rode and drove great, the engineering was even more so, it’s just the quality, fit & finish was not there to support everything else that was good about these trucks.

Oh come on Neptune, iv got a 94 Silverado and I like the dash just fine.

I used to have one of these. silver, red interior and a six cyl.
I learned a valuable lesson though. DO NOT EVER loan your car to family members.

Tender Mercies (1983) This is a really good movie. In my opinion one of Robert Duvall's best performances.
In 1983 it won an academy award for best actor and best original screen play.

Chevrolet C-10

I don't know who listed this as an F-series but this is very clearly a Chevrolet.
It's impossible to tell without seeing the front but I'm going to say its a early to mid 60's C-10.

1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad [2429]
Home Improvement (1991-1999)
Cycolac Fan wrote That's some great bodywork to turn a 4 door into a fake Nomad, I know these cars pretty well and I couldn't tell the difference when I saw the show. I guess they used some front doors from a two door and welded up the back half of the rear doors? The roofline and B-pillars looks pretty good too though you can see it lacks the Nomad parallel styling lines across the rear of the roof.
Anyone got any other pics of the damaged car?

The smashed '55 could be a Handyman, those are already two doors. But it doesn't matter if it's not a Nomad. Not even a Beauville, Handyman or Townsman deserve to be treated like that.

No dumbass movie or TV show is worth destroying a classic car. of any kind.

1966 Buick Wildcat [46469]
Wayne's World 2 (1993)
PhilR wrote It looks like an early 1966 Wildcat 4 door sedan [46469] (later model Wildcats have widely-spaced W I L D C A T block letters centered on their trunk doors instead of the small script on the right and 1966 LeSabres have widely-spaced B U I C K letters also centered on their trunk doors).

I agree with PhilR, I used to own a '66 wildcat sedan and it looked just like that.

1967 Ford Mustang
Innerspace (1987)
I don't know what horses-ass built this thing but they should never be allowed to work on a car again EVER!!!!
First of all look at those god awful fender flares.
The brushed aluminum grill surround and emblem are missing.
Those dumb-ass pipes coming out the side.
The hood looks like a bastardization of two different Shelby hoods put together.
And its not a Dodge Charger, why are the tail light bezels painted black?

I like Mustangs as much as the next guy but if i won this piece of crap in a contest i would trade it in for something else.
