| Rolls-Royce Phantom III Cannon (1971-1976) | We're looking for an H.J.Mulliner Phantom III which was in California in 1971 and which had two round wing mirrors. If the car in the film was dark blue, it could be #3CM106. | 2010-08-18 21:48 | |

| 1963 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III Convertible H.J.Mulliner [LSCX447] The Spanish Prisoner (1997) | At the time the film was shot, Cooper Classics had only one SCIII silver grey drophead with standard Cloud bumpers: I'll bet on LSCX447. | 2010-07-15 22:00 | |
| 1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III Open Tourer Barker [3BU134] Penn & Teller: Bullshit! (2003-2010) | 1937 Phantom III, chassis #3BU134. | 2010-07-15 21:31 | |

| 1936 Rolls-Royce 25/30 h.p. Limousine de Ville Windovers [GTL55] The Naked Truth (1957) | Wickey, no, all Phantoms don't have a chassis number starting with a number. The exception is the Phantom VI. This one is not a Phantom but a small HP model. | 2010-07-15 20:49 | |
| 1939 Rolls-Royce Wraith Freestone & Webb [WMB26] I Spy (1965-1968) | No, the reg'n number proves it's a Freestone & Webb, chassis WMB26. | 2010-07-15 20:42 | |
| 1958 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith LWB by HJ Mulliner [LHLW22] Les enquêtes du commissaire Maigret (1967-1990) | Definitely NOT Hooper with that kind windscreen but HJM. It is LHLW22 again, the only d.7358 in France... | 2010-05-04 19:33 | |

| 1952 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith Touring Limousine Hooper [WOF44] The Odd Couple II (1998) | I confirm it is WOF44. "RHR" are the initials of the owner. | 2010-05-04 19:03 | |
| 1958 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith LWB by HJ Mulliner [LHLW22] L'age d'or du X (2006) | This is chassis #LHLW22, the 1958 H.J.Mulliner limousine displayed at the Mougins Museum. | 2010-05-04 19:00 | |
| 1955 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith Sports Saloon James Young [DLW75] The Young Ones (1961) | It is chassis #DLW75 (Rob forgot to add it to his id.). | 2010-05-04 18:56 | |
| 1958 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith James Young [LHLW14] That Girl (1966-1971) | It's a 1958 model, chassis #LHLW14. It appeared in several films (Cotton Comes to Harlem, True Lies & in a Billy Joel musical video clip). | 2010-05-04 17:50 | |

| 1938 Rolls-Royce 25/30 h.p. Freestone & Webb [WMB26] Farewell, My Lovely (1975) | This is a Wraith with Freestone & Webb body (design 1998 made in 3 examples). Since only one went to California it can only be #WMB26. | 2010-03-27 17:06 | |
| Rolls-Royce unknown Die Wehrmacht - Eine Bilanz (2007) | This is absolutely NOT a Gurney Nutting. I've checked all the late 20/25s and 25/30s drophead sedanca coupe whatever the coacbuilder and it's none of them. I obtained a better still of this car and the windscreen is that of a closed car with chopped roof. In this scene taken in Paris, it carried Gœring. | 2010-03-27 16:01 | |
| 1931 Rolls-Royce Phantom II The Yellow Rolls-Royce (1964) | Phantom II #9JS has an unbroken black waistline whereas the stand-in's waistline stops at the front door shut. The characteristic Barker bottom door moulding is painted on the stand-in ! See /vehicle_253794-Rolls-Royce-Phantom-II-9JS-1931.html for comparison. | 2010-03-21 11:58 | |
| Rolls-Royce Phantom II Shooting Brake [8GX] Goodwood: Race Car Legends (2007) | Yes, it is a shooting brake. The chassis number is #8GX. | 2010-03-21 10:41 | |
| Rolls-Royce Phantom II Thrupp & Maberly Sabían Demasiado (1962) | It is a pre-1CL Phantom I, the radiator is not tall enough to be a Phantom II and the vanes are in a box. The coachbuilder is most likely French and it is most likely a second body or at least a modified one with added wing valances. | 2010-03-20 18:56 | |
| 1931 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Brewster Huntington [232AJS] Le corniaud (1965) | 1931 Phantom II Brewster Huntington limousine, chassis #232AJS. It's now in Spain. | 2010-03-20 18:47 | |
| 1936 Rolls-Royce 25/30 h.p. You Rang, M'Lord? (1988-1993) | The reg'n number is Surrey Feb 1934, therefore it is a 20/25HP (P80 headlamps anyway) and may be #GHA38 ?? which is reg'd BPC821 which was issued 26/02/1934, the other known RR with BPC reg'n is #GUB7. It has a similar bumper but no horns, different wings and small Ace side lamps, not cones like the car in film. | 2010-02-14 18:38 | |
| 1934 Rolls-Royce Phantom II A Good Woman (2004) | It can't be a Phantom II - wrong radiator, therefore it is a post-GLG1 20/25HP or an early 25/30HP. | 2010-02-14 17:59 | |
| Rolls-Royce Phantom II La caduta degli dei (1969) | Not a French body but Park-Ward, this is a 1932 20/25HP chassis #GAU51. | 2010-02-14 14:55 | |
| 1925 Rolls-Royce Phantom I Tony Robinson replica [72HC] Hotel Babylon (2006-2009) | It is a 1925 Phantom I, chassis #72HC with Tony Robinson replica body. | 2010-02-14 14:48 | |
| 1927 Rolls-Royce Phantom I Springfield by Brewster [S377FM] Chasing Classic Cars (2008) | It is a 1927 Springfield Phantom, chassis S377FM, with Brewster body. | 2010-02-14 13:28 | |
| 1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III James Young Saloon [3BT69] Eureka (1983) | Wrong again, this is Bill Fane's James Young #3BT69 which was used in the Vancouver shots. | 2010-02-14 12:41 | |
| 1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III Landaulet The Razor's Edge (1984) |
Hello Greg, if this car was a 4-light landaulette, it may be #3CP110 which has been in France since the 1960s. It was last known in Paris in 1997 and I think she's still there. If you e-mail me at blaize2530@orange.fr I'll send you photos. Some scenes were shot in Paris, so it fits. -- Last edit: 2010-02-14 11:36:00 |

| 1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III Windovers Limousine [3BT45] Obsluhoval jsem anglického krále (2006) | It is a 1937 Phantom III, chassis 3BT45, a Windovers limousine still used in the hire trade in Prague. You can check it out at http://www.oldtimersebek.cz | 2010-02-14 10:59 | |
| 1935 Rolls-Royce 20/25 h.p. Sedanca de Ville Gurney Nutting [GBJ55] I Dream of Jeannie (1965-1970) | Sorry to disagree, this is a 20/25HP, chassis #GBJ55, which also featured in "Mission Impossible". epi. 1 02. The 25/30HP which looks like it (#GUL79) has flip-flap bonnet shutters and an o/s spare wheel. | 2010-02-14 10:45 | |
| 1936 Rolls-Royce Phantom III Mulliner [3CM112] Telefoni bianchi (1976) | and the chassis number is 3CM112. | 2010-02-14 10:15 | |
| 1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III Hooper [3BU92] Billy Liar (1963) | This is a 1937 Phantom III, chassis 3BU92, reg'd DXW662, a Hooper limousine. | 2010-02-14 10:06 | |
| 1950 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith Sedanca De Ville Mulliner Park Ward [LWHD49] Batman Returns (1992) | I don't think it is LWLE10 (LVLE10 is not a RR number), this one has sealed-beam headlamps and the photo shot from the side shows a wing line typical of a design 7276, not at all like a 7171. Moreover LWLE10 was in Kentucky when the film was shot. There are 99.9% chances that this is LALW22- which also featured in other films like "Bean" in 1997. Its then-owner was in the hire trade and many of his cars were used in films. | 2010-02-08 11:06 | |
| 1920 Rolls-Royce 40/50 h.p. 'Silver Ghost' 1932 Sedanca de Ville Brewster St Stephen [73EE] The Big Store (1941) |
It's a 1920 British Silver Ghost, chassis #73EE with 1932 Brewster St Stephen sedanca body. (see also Citizen Kane & Rebecca films) -- Last edit: 2009-12-20 18:49:37 |
2009-12-20 18:48 | |
| 1933 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Sedanca de Ville Barker [178PY] The Beverly Hillbillies (1962-1971) | Correct so far. This is chassis #178PY which belonged to my friend Mark Tuttle, writer & producer of "The Beverly Hillbillies". Sadly he passed away last year. | 2009-12-20 18:42 | |
| Rolls-Royce 20 h.p. Tourer Barker [GEN16] The Yellow Rolls-Royce (1964) |
Red with alu bonnet is chassis #GEN16, a Barker tourer, behind is Twenty #GEN45, a James Young saloon. I think Twenty #GTM38 with H.J.Mulliner Weymann saloon is in the top left-hand corner - I can see a visor below the short peak (I don't think it is #GKM28 which had a long peak). -- Last edit: 2012-02-25 19:09:16 |
2009-11-04 19:57 | |
| Rolls-Royce 20 h.p. with ex-Sunbeam Body [GWL30] The Yellow Rolls-Royce (1964) |
The pale blue & black Twenty is chassis #GWL30, with a body transferred from a Sunbeam. The car in the middle is a Phantom II #65GN. UU4905 is a Twenty, chassis #GEN45, a James Young saloon. -- Last edit: 2012-02-25 18:56:27 |
2009-11-04 19:52 | |
| 1933 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Sedanca de Ville Thrupp & Maberly [17MW] Le président (1961) | This is chassis #17MW, a 1933 Phantom II with Thrupp & Maberly sedanca de ville body. It also featured in Les bricoleurs (Who Stole the Body?), 1962. | 2009-09-25 17:48 | |
| 1935 Rolls-Royce 20/25 h.p. Sedanca de Ville Gurney Nutting [GBJ55] Mission: Impossible (1966-1973) | I disagree with the id. CLC482 is chassis #GBJ55, a 1935 20/25 car, (Gurney Nutting sdv is correct) | 2009-09-11 20:13 | |
| 1920 Rolls-Royce 40/50 h.p. 'Silver Ghost' 1932 Sedanca de Ville Brewster St Stephen [73EE] Citizen Kane (1941) | 73EE is a 1920 Derby chassis. This 1932 body was adapted either because the US owner didn't like the original tourer or it was in a bad condition. | 2009-09-06 17:52 | |
| 1930 Rolls-Royce 20/25 h.p. Bright Young Things (2003) | This is a 1933 20/25 chassis #GBA32 with James Young saloon body. It also featured in ‘Appointment with Death’ made in 1987 with Peter Ustinov and Lauren Bacall. Even if the badge was black after April 1933, owners could still order red badges, for example GUB6 in 1934. The decision to switch from black to red was taken by RR in December 1930 for the Phantom II, the red ones being allocated to the 20/25. When Royce died, the opportunity was taken to use black as a tribute but the red badge stocks were used up on the 20/25 after his death. (BTW all lhd Phantom II (1931-1932) had black badges). | 2009-09-03 21:17 | |
| 1952 Bentley R-Type Standard Saloon Hounddog (2007) | The radiator is not deep enough to be a RR. Don't I see a Bentley mascot leaning forward ?? | 2009-08-30 18:53 | |
| Rolls-Royce Phantom I Springfield Trouville Town Car by Hibbard & Darrin [S302KP] Inside Daisy Clover (1965) | This looks like a Trouville sedanca de ville. The film was produced by the Warner Bros. Another car in that film was #S162PM which belonged to Jack Warner. It happens that he also owned a Trouville sdv by Hibbard & Darrin so I suggest #S302KP. | 2009-08-30 18:50 | |
| Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II Stretched Limousine by Suncoast Engineering [SWC282] Lords of Dogtown (2005) | This is a stretched Silver Cloud II, chassis #SWC282, conversion by Suncoast Engineering, 350 Chevy engine. Who's in to take a contract out on his head ?? ;o) | 2009-08-30 18:25 | |
| Rolls-Royce Phantom I Springfield Down Argentine Way (1940) | This is a Springfield Phantom I indeed, chassis #S441MR, with a Brewster Trouville saloon body. The giveaway detail is the bonnet with vertical louvres on the rear half, the only one of its kind. | 2009-08-30 18:18 | |
| 1926 Rolls-Royce Phantom I Springfield Pall Mall Open Tourer Brewster Tune in Tomorrow (1990) | "Springfield New Phantom" or "Springfield Phantom I" is the usual way of making the difference between Derby & Springfield chassis. A Springfield Pall Mall is pleonastic because Pall Malls were only made in the vicinity of Springfield. I think this car is chassis #S336FM but I need a closer view of the windscreen side vents to compare with the only known photo of #S336FM. Anybody can screen-capture that ? | 2009-08-30 15:18 |
