| 1977 Cadillac Coupe DeVille The Fittest (2003) | Actually, the year is 1977; the egg-crate grill comprises five rows of 10 oblong "holes. In 1978, the grill consisted of three rows of 20 square "holes". | 2006-01-14 07:31 | |
| 1954 Oldsmobile Super 88 Convertible Coupe [3667DTX] Indestructible Man (1956) | 1954 Oldsmobile "Super 88" convertible ? | 2006-01-12 22:22 | |
| Caterpillar V 300 ECH Forklift truck In the Red (1999) | "Caterpillar" (with only one "T") | 2006-01-12 11:25 | |
| 1973 Lincoln Continental Mark IV Dunham Coach Live and Let Die (1973) | ...with "Superfly" headlight trim and a reproduction of the 1930-31 Cadillac mascot ("Goddess") atop the capped grille. | 2006-01-12 11:18 | |
| (archived) Chevrolet Corvette 'Corvorado' Dunham Coach [C3] Live and Let Die (1973) | We should move this one to the CVhevrolet "Corvette" section, or call it by its real name: "Corvorado". | 2006-01-12 11:15 | |
| 1962 Cadillac Sedan DeVille Live and Let Die (1973) | It could equally well be a regular Series 62 6-window sedan (style 6229) or even the short deck Town sedan (style (6289). Hard to tell from this angle and without close-up detail of rear fenders. | 2006-01-12 11:12 | |
| 1971 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special Brougham Dunham Coach Live and Let Die (1973) | It's a pimped out '71, with typical grille cap and false landau bars on the roof sail panel. n front of it is a similarly pimped out Eldorado, also circa '71-72. | 2006-01-12 11:07 | |
| 1972 Cadillac Sedan DeVille CHiPs (1977-1983) | There appears to be no side spear on this car. It has also a small nameplate or an inscription of some kind on the roof sail panel. Mild custom ? | 2006-01-12 10:50 | |
| 1964 Cadillac Sedan DeVille Six Window Sedan [6329L] CHiPs (1977-1983) | It could equally well be a Series 62 coupe. The "DeVille" has that script on tne rear fender (which is not visible in this image). | 2006-01-12 10:43 | |
| Chevrolet Corvette 'Corvorado' Dunham Coach [C3] Live and Let Die (1973) |
Correct. It's one of a rare few custom Chevrolet Corvette cars that wetre customized by Les DUNHAM [not Derham] of Boonton, NJ. This one was used in the James Bond movie. It was made to look like a pimped up Cadillac Eldorado and was named the "Corvorado". Read all about it on this page of the Cadillac Database (search under Dunham Coach): www.car-nection.com/yann/Dbas_txt/Drm70-74.htm The car does not fit the definition for that page (custom cars on Cadillac chassis), but it looked so much like an Eldorado, I just had to include it. |

| Hyster In the Red (1999) |
According to my brother who worked for Cat for 20 years, the close-up view (with cab and driver) shows a Caterpillar CAT V300 ECH (Empty container handler). The other vehicle (although it looks the same) is probably a Hyster (compare with this pic): www.car-nection.com/yann/Dbas_pho/hyster.jpg -- Last edit: 2006-01-12 02:34:08 |

| Hispano-Suiza K6 Kellner Maigret et l'affaire Saint-Fiacre (1959) |
Just to set the record straight, the French coachbuilder's name is "Kellner" [Georges Kellner & Fils], not "Kellners". Here's a body ID plate from 1928 for his Paris workshops : www.car-nection.com/yann/Dbas_ima/Klnrplaq.jpg |

| 1949 Salmson S4-61 Cabriolet 10CV Aux abois (2005) | Delage, Talbot, Delahaye ? 1936-1938 ? Carrosserie Figoni-Falaschi ? | 2006-01-10 23:14 | |
| 1994 Cadillac Eldorado Touring Coupé Les trois frères (1995) | 1992-1994 ? | 2006-01-10 23:11 | |
| 1959 Cadillac Series 62 Under Suspicion (1991) | Series 62 for 1959, for sure. Hard to tell, however, if it's a coupe or a sedan. Definitely NOT a 4-window model nor a "Seville", which was one of two Series 64 "Eldorado" models. The choices, therefore, are: styles 6229 6-window sedan, 6237 2-door hardtop, 6329 6-window Sedan de Ville or 6337 Coupe de Ville. | 2006-01-10 02:00 | |
| 1990 Cadillac Brougham Funeral Coach Superior Sovereign Landaulet A Dirty Shame (2004) | Probably 1984, and probably with coachwork from "Superior". The '83 had a "HT4100" nameplate on the front fender. | 2006-01-10 01:39 | |
| 1966 Cadillac Funeral Coach Superior Crown Royale Shaft's Big Score! (1972) | "Combination" hearse/limousine/ambulance on 1966 Cadillac commercial chassis (body could be by Miller Meteor, Superior, Eureka or Hess & Eisenhardt) | 2006-01-10 01:32 | |
| 1951 Cadillac Series 62 Sedan The Birds (1963) | I say it's a Series 62 sedan, not a "60S" (the latter would have visible chevrons on the rear fender). Also the year could be either '51 or '52 (not enough front clip detail to tell). True, the '52 models introduced the "gold" anodized "V" and crest; however, this car is in such poor condition, that "gold" trim could have worn off. | 2006-01-10 01:21 | |
| 1984 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Sedan Kauas pilvet karkaavat (1996) | I think it's an '84 Fleetwood Brougham sedan. If you blow up the image and lighten it a bit, you'll see the Cadillac wreath and crest on the roof sail panel. There was none on the '83 model; it had only the "Brougham" script on the rear fender. Also, in 1983, there was a "HT4100 Digital Fuel Injection" nameplate on the front fender - between the door edge and the open wheel well. This car doesn't have that plate. Agreed ? | 2006-01-10 01:08 | |
| 1951 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special Les femmes s'en balancent (1954) |
Definitely a Series 60 Special [vertical chevrons barely visible on rear fender, just ahead of rear wheel opening], but hard to say if the year is 1951 or 1952. The only difference in the front clip is the trim plate below the headlights; there's just not enough light or contrast to be 100% sure. 1951: www.car-nection.com/yann/Dbas_ima/51frtclp.jpg 1952: www.car-nection.com/yann/Dbas_ima/5260sb.JPG |

| 1946 Dodge Custom Long Wheelbase [D-24-C] Mitt hjärtas Malmö (2005-2013) | What about that limousine in the foreground. Could it be a Cadillac Series 63 of 1942 (only 1,750 built)? The radio antenna looks right (design and position), as does the shape of the rear bumper ends. Any better views ? | 2006-01-09 07:20 | |
| 1959 Cadillac Series 62 [6267] Les visiteurs (1993) | You can't tell from this angle if it's a "Series 62" or a "Series 64 - Eldorado Biarritz". Onm the other hand, the earlier image supplied by "antp" leaves no doubt; it's definitely a "Series 62" convertible, style 6267 (11,130 built compared to only 1,320 Eldo convertibles). | 2006-01-08 15:55 | |
| 1965 Cadillac Calais Dirty Harry (1971) | It could equally well be a "Calais" series hardtop coupe, style 68257. The script nameplate on the rear fender would provide the solution if it were visible. | 2006-01-08 00:40 | |
| 1929 Graham-Paige Djurgårdsnätter (1933) |
It's not a "van". It's a regular sedan (saloon - UK) or limousine for 5 or 7-passengers. The era is 1928-29. It might even be a Cadillac, or at least a GM model of those years (Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile or Buick). Check out the Photo pages for the 1928 Cadillacs: www.car-nection.com/yann/Dbas_txt/Phocad28.HTM |

| 1959 Cadillac Series 62 Grand Theft Auto (1977) | Style 6229, 6-window sedan (most common body style built in '59 - 23,461 units). | 2006-01-08 00:22 | |
| 1986 Chevrolet Caprice 9C1 Natural Born Killers (1994) | I believe the year is 1973. | 2006-01-08 00:14 | |
| 1974 Buick Estate Wagon Kauas pilvet karkaavat (1996) | Oldsmobile "Vista Cruiser" wagon, circa 1965-68 ? | 2006-01-08 00:08 | |
| 1960 Cadillac Coupe DeVille [6337] Kauas pilvet karkaavat (1996) | 1960 is correct. The model is either a Series 62, style 6237, 2-door hardtop or a Series 63, style 6337, Coupe de Ville | 2006-01-08 00:03 | |
| 1984 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Sedan Kauas pilvet karkaavat (1996) | Those Fleetwood Broughams! They all look the same in the period 1980-85. Close up detail of grille and interior needed to differentiate between years. | 2006-01-08 00:00 | |
| 1968 Ford Custom Dirty Harry (1971) | 1968 Ford "custom" sedan ? | 2006-01-07 01:44 | |
| 1961 Buick Electra 225 Convertible Coupe [4867] Les uns et les autres (1981) | 1962 Buick Electra convertible ? [I use question marks when I'm unsure] | 2006-01-07 01:13 | |
| 1950 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible Les uns et les autres (1981) | Cadillac 1950-53, Series 62 convertible. | 2006-01-07 01:11 | |
| 1941 Packard Super Eight One-Sixty Les uns et les autres (1981) | Another Packard. This time a convertible coupe and probably from 1940 again. | 2006-01-07 01:10 | |
| 1938 Packard Six Touring Sedan [1600] Les uns et les autres (1981) | 1940 Packard? | 2006-01-07 01:04 | |
| Unknown Les uns et les autres (1981) | I'm guessing Wills St. Claire, based on the general shape of the hood ornament. The year? 1930-31 based on the general lines of the car. | 2006-01-07 01:03 | |
| 1964 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 Les uns et les autres (1981) | 1964. Also I'll take a guess at a "Fleetwood" series 75 limousine or sedan [it looks like it has three side windows each side]. | 2006-01-07 01:00 | |
| 1970 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special The Omen (1976) | Yes, I'm pretty sure now that it's a 1970 Cadillac. There were a number of "Fleetwood" models in the 1970 line-up, which included also the "Calais" series and the "De Ville" series. Included in the top-of-the-line "Fleetwood" series were (1) the "Eldorado" coupe, (2) the "Series 60 Special" sedan [this car], (3) the "Brougham" [similar to the "60S" but with a vinyl-covered roof and finer interior appointments], (4) the "Series 75" sedan and (5) the "Series 75" limousine [with a partition and division glass between the front and rear seating areas]. So it's not easy to classify Cadillacs just by "make" and "model". For some years, you need to specify the "Series" too. | 2006-01-05 20:41 | |
| 1970 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special The Omen (1976) |
The contrasted image certainly looks more like a '70 model than a '69 (compare these images): www.car-nection.com/yann/Dbas_69/69FrtClp.jpg (1969) www.car-nection.com/yann/Dbas_70/70grille.jpg (1970) ...but a good rear view would end all argument: www.car-nection.com/yann/Dbas_69/69rrClp.jpg (1969) www.car-nection.com/yann/Dbas_70/70DET1.JPG (1970) |

| 1973 Mercedes-Benz 350 SE [W116] La polizia incrimina, la legge assolve (1973) | What's interesting about this car is the Swiss licence plate, considering the movie was made in Italy. The vertical red stripe and letter "Z" at the left of the plate shows it to be a temporary or "tourist" plate, valid for a maximum of one year (the month and year of expiry will appear in white on the red stripe). The initial letters "GE" show it to have been issued in Geneva (where I lived for 40 years), and not "Genoa", Italy. The shield at the right depicts the Swiss flag, being a white cross on a red background (BTW, the "Red Cross" organisation, founded in Switzerland by Henri Dunant, uses a reverse image, that is a red cross on a white background). At the far right, we see the shield of the Canton of Geneva, being a black eagle on a red backround (left half) and an equally black "key" on a yellow backround (right half). And that's all for today's lesson on history and heraldry ! | 2006-01-05 16:23 | |
| 1967 Simca 1301 Break GL La polizia incrimina, la legge assolve (1973) | Looks like a Fiat 1500 "familiale" of circa 1962-63 vintage. | 2006-01-05 15:54 | |
| 1980 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Stretched Limousine Mr. H Is Late (1988) | As I mentioned before, we need to differentiate between factory-original models and modified/customized cars like this one, built on a Cadillac chassis. This vehicle may have begun as a Fleetwood Brougham sedan [circa 1983-85?] but now it's a stretched limousine built/modified by any one of the following professional coach builders: A.H.A., Allen Coachworks, American Custom Coachworks, Armbruster/Stageway, Classic Limousines, Da Bryan Coach Builders, Dillinger/Gaines, Eureka Coach Works, Heritage Cadillac, Hess & Eisenhardt, Krystal Koach Inc., Limousine Werks, Miller-Meteor, Moloney Coachbuilders, Superior Coach Corporation, and others too. | 2006-01-05 07:41 | |
| 1966 Ford Mustang Barbershop 2: Back in Business (2004) | 1965-66 convertible ? | 2006-01-05 07:27 | |
| 1957 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 Vertigo (1958) | It could be also the Series 75 sedan (without a division partition and glass between the driver and passenger seating areas). Only a view of the interior will answer that question. | 2006-01-05 07:18 | |
| 1957 Cadillac Series 62 Vertigo (1958) |
Because the lamp-post is hiding part of the car side, the pale blue car (Turquoise) Cadillac identified by "pilou" as a 1957 Series 62 Sedan de Ville could equally well be a regular Series 62 sedan (style 6239), or a Series 62 hardtop (style 6237) or even a Series 62 Coupe de Ville (style 6237DX); 2-door cars have a longer front door than sedans. There is not enough detail to pinpoint the model with greater precision. The "De Ville" series carry a script nameplate on the front fenders ("Sedan de Ville" or "Coupe de Ville"); regular Series 62 cars have only the name "Cadillac" in that location. Interior upholstery material and design also are clues to the model name. |
2006-01-05 07:15 | |
| 1957 Cadillac Series 62 Vertigo (1958) | The black one (front view) identified by "antp" as a Series 62 of the same year (1957) could equally well be a Fleetwood "60 Special" seda of that year. | 2006-01-05 07:01 | |
| 1957 Cadillac Series 62 Vertigo (1958) | The one seen from the rear, correctly identified as a '57 model by "sixcyl", is a Series 60 Special sedan by Fleetwood [rectangular reversing lights on either side of trunk lid]. | 2006-01-05 06:58 | |
| 1954 Cadillac Series 62 Vertigo (1958) | The "brown" one (actually Samoan Bronze) is a '56 model ['55 models have three vertical chevrons each side of the rear number plate opening]. The light blue car (Newport Blue) has been correctly identified as a '54 model; hard to tell at this angle if it's a regular Series 62 sedan or a Fleetwwood 60 Special. | 2006-01-05 06:53 | |
| 1968 Ford Mustang Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (2005) | 1968 convertible [according to the side marker light on the rear fender panel]. | 2006-01-05 06:43 | |
| 1970 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special The Omen (1976) | 1969 or 1970 Fleetwood [wreath and crest ornament was used only on the Fleetwood series those years]. Too dark to determine if the front clip is 1969 or 1970. I'm guessing '69. Does anyone have a lighter image or a rear view? | 2006-01-05 06:41 | |
| 1962 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 Batman (1989) | Not 1960, Winger. It's a 1962. | 2006-01-03 11:21 |
