1975 Jensen Interceptor MkIII [S4]
Shampoo (1975)
Are there any clearer shots of the back end of the front wing? One grille means interceptor, two means FF. 2010-12-20 20:39
1966 MG B GT [ADO23]
Shampoo (1975)
MGB seems most likely, especially as the orange indicator/side marker lights are under the headlights. but the back end doesn't look right. I don't know quite why, but it makes me thing Italian, possibly Alfa. Then again, it could be an optical illusion due to the odd way the car it lit from behind. 2010-12-20 20:38
1962 Land-Rover 88'' Series IIa
The Rise and Rise of Michael Rimmer (1970)
I cannot be absolutely certain of the year or model, but I believe this is a Series 2A built between 1962-1966, it is a military version (so its officially a Rover 8), and in that colour probably built for the RAF, athough its on a civvy plate and therefore could already have been 'demobbed'. The bumpers and reflectors show its not an early Series 2 (these bits were introduced in 1961 on the last of the Series 2 models shortly before the introduction of the 2A), and the seaprate wiper motors (the passenger side one is clearly visible) mean it can't be from 1967 onwards. Unfortunately without some other shots its not really possible to say more. 2010-12-20 20:33
1958 Land-Rover 109'' Series II Station Wagon
633 Squadron (1964)
I've just had this crop up on my Land Rover club's forum confirming the training exercise observers did use a Land Rover. Details are here http://www.series2club.info/forum/index.php?topic=40617

I'm afraid I don't know how to put photos up here or add vehicles to the list, so would someone in the know mind doing the honours please.

As far as I can tell, it is a Series 1 80". As for the year, the only clue is the sidelight in the front of the wing making it sometime between 1950 and 1953 if I remember correctly.

1984 Freight Rover Sherpa 300 Series
28 Days Later... (2002)
That means its most likely a Freight Rover 300 series (1984-1989), unless it was brand new in which case it would be a Leyland Daf 400 series (introduced 1989). 2010-07-21 22:46
Land-Rover Santana Series III
¿Qué hace una chica como tú en un sitio como éste? (1978)
I've since found those rear lights belong to the Series III model. 2010-07-21 22:39
1959 Austin Healey 3000 MkI
Natale a Beverly Hills (2009)
I would tend to agree with that. 2010-07-21 22:35
AEC Reliance Strachan
Laukaus Kyproksessa (1965)
Plus a Series 2 soft top Land Rover approaching from the left. 2010-07-21 22:34
AEC unknown
Together (1956)
If its an AEC, its a Majestic. http://paulanderson.fotopic.net/p62407887.html

Unfortunately its not really possible to tell what it is and it could be ERF, Leyland, Atkinson or any one of a number of other British lorry manufaturers from the pre or early post war period.

1952 Austin Seven Trials special
Fifth Gear (2002-2013)
That's not its original reg number, that much I can say, and it lost its original number many years ago. Prior to 1993 (if I remember correctly) when a a non dating reg number (one without the year suffix or prefix) was transferred off a vehicle, it was allocated a new number with an A suffix. ALC is also one of the more common ranges allocated this way. I own two Land Rovers that fall into this category, and by coincidence both are 1960 88" series 2s and were built only months apart. One is registered ALC 90A, the other ALC 153A. 2010-07-21 22:01
Land-Rover 109'' Series II
Mondo Magic (1975)
Looks like either a Series 2 (1958-1961) or early Series 2A (1962). Its probably a 109" but I can't really tell. 2010-07-21 21:55
Porsche 356 A
Kardanny Val (2008-??)
Agreed. 356a sitting next to an early 911. 2010-07-21 21:48
1961 Land-Rover Santana Series II
Los Camioneros (1973)
This is an early one, either a 1958-1961 Series II or 1962 Series 2A (chrome ringed headlights), but the photo isn't clear enough to say any more. With it being a spanish TV series its most likely the Santana version. 2010-07-21 21:46
unknown
The IT Crowd (2006-2010)
My best guess at the moment is the wide mouth frog version of the Ford Scorpio, but I really can't be sure. 2010-07-21 21:35
1975 Land-Rover Santana 109'' Series III Station Wagon
Nacional III (1982)
I can just make out the door shuts so its definitely a 109" station wagon. It appears to have a split windscreen which means its probably a Series III with those rear lights. 2010-07-21 21:33
Daimler Fleetline
Xtro (1983)
I'd agree. It matches this photo of one pretty well.

1963 Austin Gipsy G4 M15 modified as 'Beijing-Jeep'
The Rescue (1988)
Now you mention it, I can see the main bodywork has all the right features to be a Gipsy. The doors, front wings and rear tub all have clear Gipst features. The bonnet and front panel look like the specially made bits. I think I can see leaf springs under the front axle, which means its a Series IV. 2010-07-04 02:05
1985 Mini 1000 MkV [ADO20]
Speed Master (2007)
As it has 12" wheels its a later model, probably 1980's. 2010-07-04 02:01
1996 Volvo FL 6.14 Saxon
Doctor Who (2005-2013)
I can just make out the Saxon badge on the back, so we know who did the bodywork. 2010-07-04 01:50
1938 Citroën 11 BL 'Traction'
De guerre lasse (1987)
I think so too. 2010-07-04 01:17
1979 Land-Rover V8 Stage 1
Le choix des armes (1981)
There were actually a handful of 88" Stage 1 V8s built for one of the Carribean islands (Jamaica I think), but that was a one off. If I remember correctly less than 10 of them were built and the confrimed that even the heavily restricted V8 producing just 91bhp was too much for the 88" chassis. 2010-07-04 01:13
Land-Rover 109'' Series III
Une femme d'honneur (1996-2008)
Ex military and it looks like it has the extended spring hangers, which means it is almost certainly a 109". By the time the Series 3 arrived virtually all 88" military Land Rovers (at least for the British armed forces) were based on the Lightweight making standard shape 88" military Land Rovers extremely rare. 2010-07-04 01:09
1969 Land-Rover Series IIa
The Questor Tapes (1974)
Wire mesh grille means its a Series 2A from 1969-1971. 2010-07-04 01:07
1969 Land-Rover Series IIa
Cocorico monsieur Poulet (1974)
The grille looks wrong for a Series 3. It looks like the wire mesh grille used on the 1969-1971 Series 2A. 2010-07-04 01:07
Land-Rover Series IIa
Dove vai in vacanza? (1978)
Those headlamps in the wings are a retrofit. I can't quite work out why, but they don't look quite right. 2010-07-04 01:04
1958 Land-Rover Series II
Sweeney 2 (1978)
The reg number on the Land Rover, although not clear, looks like it has 7 characters which means it can't be earlier than 1963. Unfortunately I can't make out the windscreen wipers, so the best I can do for a date is 1963-1969. 2010-07-04 01:03
1958 Land-Rover Series II
Crocodile Dundee II (1988)
If I remember correctly, she fiddles with the wiper when she's inside. This screen is from a Series 2 or 2A 1958-1966. 2010-07-04 01:00
1967 Land-Rover 88'' Series IIa
Dempsey & Makepeace (1985-1986)
the rounded apron panel means its a Series 2A, and the wiper spindles coming through the bulkhead mean its a later one built 1967-1969. It looks short so must be an 88". 2010-07-04 00:59
1958 Land-Rover Series II
Gold of the Amazon Women (1979)
Chrome ringed headlights mean its a Series 2 1958-1962 or a Series 2A 1962. 2010-07-04 00:58
Land-Rover Series II
G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra (2009)
Looks like the Austrailian military Cutwing. 2010-07-04 00:57
1962 Land-Rover Series II 24V FFR
Bons baisers de Hong Kong (1975)
I agree with Calum, this is an early 24V FFR unit. to give it the correct military name it's a Rover 8, but mere mortals like us would know it as a Series 2A 1962-1966. 2010-07-04 00:57
1948 Land-Rover Series I
Frauen im Liebeslager (1977)
1948 or 1949 and looking remarkably original. 2010-07-04 00:54
1951 Land-Rover Series I
Le chanteur de Mexico (1956)
That's a 1951 onwards model as it has the inverted T grille. 2010-07-04 00:53
Land-Rover Series I
Cuéntame cómo pasó (2001-2013)
The 109" is definitely not a Santana as the rear door extends above the gutter line. 2010-07-04 00:51
2003 Land-Rover Range Rover Series III [L322]
National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007)
I suspect the plate was borrowed from another vehicle. L reg would normally indicate 1993, so this is a 'private' plate. 2010-07-04 00:46
2004 Land-Rover Range Rover Series III [L322]
Doctor Who (2005-2013)
The plate looks about the right vintage for the Range Rover, which means it would be a 2004 model. 2010-07-04 00:29
1995 Land-Rover Range Rover 2.5 DSE Series II [P38a]
The Football Factory (2004)
The plate is from a 1984 vehicle and is probably supposed to be a 'private' plate that has some significance to the footballer who owns it. The Range Rover is clearly much, much newer. 2010-07-04 00:27
1995 Land-Rover Range Rover Series II [P38a]
The Queen (2006)
The plate was made more recently than the Range Rover. That font first appeared in 2001, but since then any plates made for post 1973 vehicles have to use that font (even though it looks completely wrong) therefore it is quite possible the number is the original, in which case this is a 1995 model. 2010-07-04 00:24
1995 Land-Rover Range Rover Classic Vogue SE Series I
The Man Who Made Husbands Jealous (1997)
It doesn't look long enough in the photos to be a long one, and the 3.9 engine confirms this is the normal 100" wheelbase version. 2010-07-04 00:19
1995 Land-Rover Range Rover V8 County LWB Series I
Casper (1995)
County LWB is the US version of the 4.2 LSE with the extra 8" in the wheelbase. 2010-07-04 00:18
1990 Land-Rover Range Rover 3.9 Series I
The Dark (2005)
This one might have been registered in 1990, but I think there's a strong possibility it is a works vehicle and is actually a 1989 model with the new 3.9 engine to create a mock up of the new 1990 model for testing. The G-WAC registrations were mostly factory issue and apart from a couple (like this one) they ended up on the pre-production Discoveries used for testing ready for the 1990 launch. 2010-07-04 00:15
1990 Land-Rover Range Rover Vogue SE Series I
Lovejoy (1986-1994)
The final 1989 model looks identical to this one. My brother owned one and it differs from the 1990 in only one respect - the engine. They have the low fuel flap, deep sills, slotted spoiler and even the Borg Warner transfer box, but engine is the earlier 3.5EFi engine. 2010-07-04 00:10
1985 Land-Rover Range Rover Series I
F/X (1986)
This is earlier than 1986. By that time the external handle for the bottom tailgate and the protruding front door hinges had been discontinued. If I remember correctly the front grille has vertical slats making this a 1981-1985 model. 2010-07-04 00:04

1970 Land-Rover Range Rover Series I
The Persuaders! (1971-1972)
There's a chance this was loaned or sold to the production crew by the factory. The XC registration series was the main one used by the factory in the late 60's & early 70's for all company vehicles including directors cars, press launch vehicles, other publicity vehicles and even some prototypes. 2010-07-03 23:53
1974 Land-Rover Range Rover Series I
Minder (1979-1994)
The black pillars mean it s a few years later than 1970. Unfortunately I can't see the number plate clearly. It might be L reg, which would be 1973, but the photo simply isn't good enough to be sure. 2010-07-03 23:51
1978 Land-Rover Range Rover Series I
La mort en direct (1980)
T reg = 1978. All the features look right for that year. 2010-07-03 23:46
