| 1983 Renault 9 Freeway [X42] A Fish Called Wanda (1988) | 1983 Freeway - http://aebergon.perso.neuf.fr/Renault/page_Renault_9_Freeway_83.htm - seems a UK special. | 2013-05-01 13:58 | |

| Commer Walk-Thru Nu jing cha (1973) | Local HK bodywork - as with BMC FGs, there are so many of these that they must have been sent from UK as chassis-cabs. | 2013-05-01 13:42 | |
| Nu jing cha (1973) |
.... and the latest white unknown is a Lancia Fulvia saloon (not sure if S2 or late Mk1 with shinier wheeltrims) . The blue Fulvia picture can then be repeated into comments. The other unknown white saloon is a 69+ Fiat 128. |

| 1963 Austin Mini Super Deluxe MkI [ADO15] The Avengers (1961-1969) | 63 plates, handlebar bumpers = Mini, not Seven. | 2013-05-01 05:42 | |
| 1963 Austin Mini Super deluxe MkI [ADO15] Steptoe and Son Ride Again (1973) | Handlebar bumpers so 63+ Mini. | 2013-05-01 05:37 | |
| Nu jing cha (1973) | I'm not a validating admin so can't send them through, but they look useful. The Cortina is a nice 69+ 1600E and the Rover a 71+ 2000 SC [P6]. | 2013-05-01 05:30 | |
| 2002 Vauxhall Vectra MkII Ice Cream Girls (2013) | So it has to be either a Vauxhall Made for GB which somehow came to Ireland (maybe even a sold off NI police car as a long shot) or an Opel which has been Vauxhallised by naughty film-makers. Whichever, it looks very poverty in both films. | 2013-05-01 05:11 | |
| 1976 Porsche 911 Carrera 21 Jump Street (1987-1991) | Yes - Porsche production control was never very good. | 2013-05-01 04:58 | |
| 1981 Porsche 911 SC Someone to Watch Over Me (1987) | 81+ side indicators but hanging fogs = 81-83 SC. | 2013-05-01 04:53 | |
| 1976 Porsche 911 Carrera Maradona, la mano di Dio (2007) | US lights. | 2013-05-01 04:48 | |
| 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera The Chippendales Murder (2000) | Agreed - early 1974+ big bumper with chrome window trim, plus later rear picnic table. 74-5 US Carrera was just a stickers and trim package with normal oily bits. | 2013-05-01 04:45 | |
| 1971 Porsche 911 Red Line (1996) | Agree faked updates and probably pre-1974 big bumper - I guess about 71. | 2013-05-01 04:41 | |
| 2002 Vauxhall Vectra MkII Ice Cream Girls (2013) | Is Ireland still Opel country? | 2013-05-01 04:37 | |
| 1969 Porsche 911 convertible conversion NCIS: Los Angeles (2009-2013) | Built in fogs should be 84+ Carrera, but no side indicators (81+) and it looks wrong. I guess a 69 swb with a home made chop and glassfibre updates. | 2013-05-01 04:31 | |

| 1966 Ford Zephyr 6 MkIV [3008E] Nu jing cha (1973) | Any Zephyr Mk4 is an unusual police car outside UK and I don't think we've had one in HK before. The V6 side badge is an early feature and rare but proves Zephyr 6, not Zephyr 4. HK police used lots of Cortinas through the years, including Mk2. | 2013-05-01 03:55 | |
| 1967 Datsun Cedric [130] Nu jing cha (1973) | Austin A60 Cambridge on right edge, white Ford Corsair in background, and probably most interesting the blue 1971+ Lancia Fulvia S2 on left - any better view? | 2013-05-01 03:45 | |
| 1966 Ford Zephyr 6 MkIV [3008E] Nu jing cha (1973) | The foreground police car is a 1966+ Mk4 Zephyr 6, but there is one Cortina Mk2 behind, and another 2 - or possibly 3 - in the right edge of the picture. | 2013-05-01 03:39 | |
| 1976 Ford Taunus [TC2] Men Olsenbanden var ikke død! (1984) | For Europe there was a TC1 coupe, but not TC2 or TC3 so this is normal 2 door saloon. (Argentina took the TC1 coupe and carried it forward for several years longer with many later changes but it was still basically a TC1 - not TC2 or TC3). | 2013-05-01 03:36 | |
| Ford F-1 Circuitry Man (1990) | So a new mkae? | 2013-05-01 01:34 | |
| 1954 Fowler Challenger III RNLI lifeboat tractor The Sea in Their Blood (1983) |
I've never seen one of these before - a tracked tractor (effectively a bulldozer without the blade) used as a lifeboat hauler on beaches by the RNLI. I assume it looks something like this: although this one at Chatham dockyard museum has different design (EDIT: and may be a Case - see link in later comment) - from Link to "www.steamandcountrycam.co.uk" . Also in the film pictures above, there is a blue trailer behind which gets very confusing for what actually belongs to the Fowler. | The Sea in Their Blood (1983) |
![]() 1983 documentary which provided some footage for From the Sea to the Land Beyond, but without any crossover of things for imcdb interest. Weird Peter Greenaway project of modern footage of British coast with a staccato commentary of facts and statistics - some of which gets totally out of sync with the images - accompanied by Michael Nyman music clearly from a period when he was trying to be Philip Glass but did not have the equipment. One over-generous quote, which might also intrigue ingo, describes it as "Accompanying the images, alongside Nyman’s dramatic score, is a voice reciting a list of statements and statistics about the sea. Some of these ‘facts’ are accurate, some tongue-in-cheek, and some are eccentric (and most probably spurious “… Skegness has a mermaid…”)." Film can only be seen here, which is an absolute cnut to work with, but an easier extract at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7wPsguEDDg . It gets a page here for the single entry worth listing because I never realised these existed; there's an occasional scatter of blurry very background things such as a blue Vitesse at one point, but these two snowy harbour shots are the only other pictures I took, and not really worth that. 1] Merc S-class (W116) - definite ID onscreen as the camera sweeps round 2] Bedford TK ![]() |

| 1974 Porsche 911 'Flatnose' bodykit Han fei (1996) | As it does not look like black screen pillars but chrome, I'll go for early 74+ with boyracer bodykit at this distance. | 2013-04-30 23:26 | |
| 1981 Porsche 911 Turbo [930] Beck (1997-2009) | 81+ side indicators. Black side trim and wide body should be Turbo. | 2013-04-30 23:24 | |

| 1935 Austin 12/6 Harley Beside the Seaside (1935) | The only plate combination to fit what's visible before film date is CPL = July-Sept 35, so brand new. | Beside the Seaside (1935) |
Planes for impdb - all from the same sequence of a grassy airfield offering pleasure trips or flights to Paris (see 5th thumb): 1] unknown registered G-ADAx, possibly G-ADAA if the letter on the wing applies: 2] 1934 De Havilland DH-84 Dragon 2 [c/n 6077] G-ACRF - http://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/G-ACRF.html . The way the footage is spliced together is confusing, but eventually makes sense that both pictures are G-ACRF. 3] G-ABVB = Westland Wessex IV [c/n WA2156] - http://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/photo/000376734.html . . -- Last edit: 2013-05-03 13:21:00 |
