the blue Caddy is a Calais or Deville, you can barely make out the V under the crest on the hood. 2008-02-19 23:38
1974 Cadillac Coupe DeVille
Starsky and Hutch (1975-1979)
I am going to say that Coupe Deville is a 1974, and here's why:
The rear end of 74-76 Full size caddy's are the same, except one small detail. The '74's do not have the slim chrome line around the taillights that the '75 and '76 do.
Mr Cadillac, body-color painted hubcaps were not available on any 74-76 RWD Caddy. Black painted turbine vaned hubcaps were optional for Calais, Deville and Fleetwood in '76 and the '76 Eldorado's came standard with black painted hubcaps and the "last" 200 Eldo convertibles came with white painted hubcaps. Sometimes you'll see body-color painted hubcaps on these cars but it was not a factory option. Starting in '77 they were standard on Eldorado's and Fleetwood Broughams and the limousines.

1973 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special Brougham
The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (1982)
The V was absent on '70 and '71 model Deville's. It re-appeared in '72 and was used on Calais and Deville series through 1984, then in '85 all Cadillac's started using the wreath and crest where before only Fleetwood series cars ( Fleetwood's, Series 75 Limousines, Eldorado's and Seville's) got the wreath and crest ornamentation. 2008-02-14 22:14
1979 Cadillac Sedan DeVille
Curacao (1993)
Mr. Cadillac,
58 is correct, the ribbed upholstery on the door panels tell me that this is a Deville, also in the small photo you can see that the car does not have a vinyl roof, which was standard on the Fleetwood. One thing about this particular car, it has the extra chrome strip along the top of the doors which continues onto the hood power dome, this was an option on Deville's and Fleetwood's in '79 and then in '80 it became standard on Fleetwood's and was no long available on the Deville series.

Suspect (1987)
This is an Impala, circa '78 2008-02-12 00:17
1977 Chevrolet Caprice Classic
Suspect (1987)
The main exterior difference between a Caprice and Impala was the grill, and taillight design - also a Caprice is going to have thicker chrome rocker molding and an Impala may not have it at all and if it does it'll be thin. 2008-02-12 00:16
1984 Buick LeSabre
No Country for Old Men (2007)
The shape of the front fender makes me say Caprice/Impala. LeSabre had a more square fender.

1983 Cadillac Sedan DeVille
The A-Team (1983-1987)
It's an '83 Sedan Deville and here's why:
1. only Deville's had chrome windsplit on the hood
2. Deville hood ornaments didn't have the wreath
3. Slim chrome rocker molding that doesn't rise above the lower door cutline means Deville (or limousine)
4. If so equipped, the opera light was on the sail panel on Deville's (small electroluminescent version on B panel on Fleetwoods)
4. It's an '83 Per the location of the script on the grill, the clear turn lamp lenses with no winged crest adornment.

1976 Cadillac Sedan DeVille d'Elegance
Blue State (2007)
It is in fact a '76 Sedan Deville, and a Deville d'Elegance to be exact. The only way you got a hood ornament on a Deville (from the factory) was with the d'Elegance package and it was the "see through" crest that became standard on Deville's in '77. You'll often see '75-'76 Deville's with a full wreath and crest hood ornament added, the giveaway that it's not OEM is the crest with the V mounted on the leading edge of the hood.

1982 Cadillac Fleetwood Limousine
Quantum Leap (1989-1993)
The car in the main photo is a 1982 Fleetwood Limousine. The differences between an '80 and '83 are:
1980 grille is of fine crosshatching, 1983 is fine vertical bands with 2 horizontal bands.
1980 turn lights are amber, 1983 turn lights are clear
1980 taillights have no embellishments on the lens other than a chrome winged crest, the 1983 taillights have the crest plus a chrome line dividing the lens in half.
