Assuming that's a Mazda Carol-based prototype(into episode came said was a car that belongs at same private collection that include the Dino 206,the Caddy Eldorado,the Toyota 2000 GT and others)and if that model was actually realized in one-off as a running concept-car-prototype,could be an eventually proposal of a aerodynamic-tail Carol wagon,'cause that model seems don't existing stock-made with that kind of body(but if I don't knew if Mazda had done similar projects in past,given that never had seen that oddity on wheels nor on motor magazines or books either) Another possibility could be that the car preserved into collection was an eventual Mazda Carol pre-production prototype,maybe with a different back end shape,a styling then rejected for regular production,'cause eventually costly to realize,preferring then the well-known canted Ford Anglia-alike rear wiew window(but for claim that needs to see how were shaped pre-production prototypes of 1962 Carol,that never had seen and can't say you if they were so-shaped,before final style then chosen and approved by Make) -- Last edit: 2007-07-17 01:26:00 |

For me don't seems a production car of Sixties'(guessed by front end style),but much more a show-car done by some big motor Make of Japan(even when episode was on air had try to compare that car with one that was existed) A little resemblance of front logo with a 1962 Mazda Carol let me guess was a prototype done by that Make,but seems also a Hino prototype,'cause front end recalls also the 1961 Contessa 900...who knows... |
