These headlights look to be in-line with the grille. If It was a '72,they should be a few inches higher due to the parking lights/turn signals being beneath them.If you look to the left you can see the height of the grille and the headlight bezels do not rise higher. In that link, we see it smashed and underwater.That film was made in 2000. Just tonight, on my commute home, I coincidentally passed a Corsica on the interstate and saw a Beretta turning at an intersection. Corsicas, Luminas and Berettas were good cars in their day. Ive seen them run past 150,000 miles, which was considered very good for an American car in the early-1990s.They had problems with the paint,though, so they looked bad even after only a few years.Berettas suffered some electrical problems, too.Corsicas and Luminas mostly just suffered from awful paint, and abuse as a result of their popularity as rental cars. |

Due to wraparound taillight and overall body shape I say Apollo, but it doesnt have portholes on the fender, indicating its a rebuilt car using wrong parts. I'm pretty sure Omegas didnt use wraparound taillights until 1975 and this looks like a 1973-74 instead. Any disagreements? |

Hagerty Insurance recently released their "threatened, endangered and extinct" list. The Plymouth Champ was designated "extinct" and they said no one in their company had seen one or even heard of a surviving Champ in years. Better write to Hagerty then, and tell them you saw one. As of recently, they doubted that even 1 was still around.
