| Morris Eight Series E 4 Doors Babette s'en va t-en guerre (1959) |
For the small saloon in the thumbnail, I'd suggest a Morris Eight Series E 4-door, fitted with a radiator muff (I'll explain that if anyone wants me to) and post-war sealed-beam headlight conversions, which is why the lights seem to stand proud of the wings. -- Last edit: 2007-11-19 21:53:31 |

| 1958 Alvis Salamander Crash Tender Mark 6A Babette s'en va t-en guerre (1959) | Which makes it a 6x6 Thorneycroft Nubian, I think. | 2007-11-19 21:08 | |
| 1951 Thornycroft Nubian 4X4 DP1 Babette s'en va t-en guerre (1959) |
I think it's a Thorneycroft Nubian, but which mark or what date I don't know.(Any ex-RAF types here?) I'd say it's another anachronism, like the 80" Land-Rover ... -- Last edit: 2007-11-19 21:06:43 |

Hanomag F35, I think. This episode is from the first series, which apparently predated the 1974 takeover by Daimler-Benz ... so, Mike and Garco, there can't have been too many Mercedes (305s, weren't they?) around then ... ![]() |

| 1980 Mini 1100 Special MkIV [ADO20] Pétrole ! Pétrole ! (1981) | That's what I thought (about the headlamps); I fitted Cibié headlamps to my (1963) Mini without any trouble. It just seemed odd that they were missing on an otherwise tidy car. | 2007-11-16 22:56 | |

| 1980 Mini 1100 Special MkIV [ADO20] Pétrole ! Pétrole ! (1981) | Possibly a good idea in Paris, though ... what happened to the headlamp bezels? Didn't they fit the French headlamps? | 2007-11-16 22:31 | |

| 1955 Bentley S-Type as Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud Crying Freeman (1995) |
Cloud I, I think. What horrible wheel trims to inflict on a Rolls-Royce . I can forgive the funny little lights above the bumper, as it seems to be a RHD import. |
2007-11-16 15:43 | |
| 1936 Vauxhall 14 hp Light Six Stratford Tourer [DX] Poirot (1989-2013) | No, because the plate is obviously fake. Possibly the car has one of those so-called age-related registrations (which obviously aren't), so they've given it a more convincing one. | 2007-11-16 15:39 | |
| Morris Eight Series E Poirot (1989-2013) | Fitted with a sealed-beam conversion, no? | 2007-11-16 15:37 | |
| 1938 Wolseley 18/85 Series III Poirot (1989-2013) | I think it must be a Wolseley ... I can see the illuminated badge. Which Wolseley, I'm afraid I can't tell. | 2007-11-16 15:36 | |

| 1968 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow I Pétrole ! Pétrole ! (1981) |
I thought it was a Shadow I, and from the second thumbnail a long wheelbase version - for which the Everflex roof wasn't standard. However, if the registration is genuine, it was registered in 1978, which - in spite of the bumpers - would make it a Silver Wraith II |
2007-11-15 17:37 | |
| 1950 Hanomag L28 Stahlnetz - Sechs unter Verdacht (1958) | I thought it was a Hanomag L28 too, but I didn't know why ... from this angle it's not easy to tell them apart. | 2007-11-14 22:16 | |
| 1983 Land-Rover 110 Congo (1995) | No, they are produced for various military forces. They aren't normally advertised to the general public, but may be available to special order. (Alexander, am I right?) | 2007-11-14 22:03 | |

| 1959 Wolseley 6/99 [ADO10] The Limey (1999) | The external difference is that the 6/110 has a very slightly longer wheelbase. It's probably safest to do as DynaMike says. | 2007-11-14 09:41 | |
| 1933 Austin 16/6 The Saint Meets the Tiger (1943) | I would say 16 h.p. tourer, probably with dickey seat. | 2007-11-14 09:30 | |
| Jaguar XJR [X306] La Taupe (2007) |
I think they were waterslide transfers; they would wear off in time ... although I think some people varnished over them. |

| 1963 Triumph Spitfire 4 Le diable probablement (1977) | It looks to me like a bit of home customising; it doesn't even fit properly. | 2007-11-13 21:03 | |
