| 1970 Nissan Fairlady Z [S30] Mischief 3000 (2002) | though this only lists the U.S. as the filming location, the car does seem to be right hand drive. that would make the "Nissan" part correct, but the model should then be Fairlady Z. the year is indeterminate between 1970 and 1978 with the aftermarket front spoiler and paint color, and due to the lack of an original bumper. this would probably be most accurately listed as a 1970 Nissan Fairlady Z [S30]. | 2009-12-25 00:37 | |
| 1984 Buick Regal Limited The Haunting in Connecticut (2009) |
weeelll ~ if you took the mercury hubcap from the back wheel of the buick and put it on the FOMOCO product in the background... ![]() |

| Oldsmobile Cutlass Absence of Malice (1981) | the primary car would be a coupe. | 2009-12-23 19:59 | |
| 1982 BMW 5 [E28] Crash (2004) | agreed. ~ from what's visable here, i don't see anything that narrows the year of this specific car within the 1982-1988 range, or for that matter, anything that limits the model to 528e. with the exception of the fact that this one couldn't be a 535is or an M5 (lacking the spoiler)... it seems that this car could be any U.S. spec. offering (a 528e, a 533i, a 535i, or even a 524td - though we were provided with a relatively small number of the diesels), from any year of manufacture within the 7 years that the e28 sedans were offered here. i was just wondering if the previous post that narrowed the range to 1982-84 was based on something not seen here, or if i was missing a clue, and how the model was limited to being a 528e. | 2009-12-23 04:01 | |
| 1982 BMW 5 [E28] Crash (2004) | what narrows the range from '82-'88? | 2009-12-22 11:24 | |
| 2004 Nissan Pathfinder Armada [TA60] The O.C. (2003-2007) | ah... makes sense i s'pose. unfortunate that the distinction causes it to be categorized with a group of totally different vehicles rather than with the others like it. a catch 22 of a sort i guess. | 2009-12-21 02:31 | |
| 1970 Datsun 240Z BRE [S30] The History of Nissan Z: The Definitive Story | 1970. - not that you can tell here, but the car is a 1970 series 1 240z... SCCA C Production National Champion for '70-'71. the footage was also part of a datsun TV commercial for the cars produced though december of 1970 ('70, and early '71 models). | 2009-12-20 03:17 | |
| 2004 Nissan Pathfinder Armada [TA60] The O.C. (2003-2007) | 2004 was the only year that nisan used the pathfinder name ahead of the armada name on the big SUV. the rest of these are in the armada category rather than the pathfinder category. this one should probably be there too... | 2009-12-20 03:16 | |
| 1974 Dodge Tradesman [B-300] Den siste revejakta (2008) | Tradesman | 2009-12-20 02:14 | |
| 1970 Datsun 240Z [S30] Un homme est mort (1972) | color code 919 "sunshine yellow"... 1970-71 for sure - SERIES I. (wheels and rear Amco bumper over-rider bar were aftermarket) | 2009-12-19 16:57 | |
| 1970 Datsun 240Z [S30] Cleopatra Jones (1973) | 1970-72 240z based on where the front bumper rub strips end (indicating where the bumper guards would be if they hadn't been removed) | 2009-12-19 16:48 | |
| 1970 Datsun 240Z [S30] Where the Truth Lies (2005) | 1970-early 1971 (SERIES I) 240z based on the sail pillar emblem, which seems to be too big to be the later round "Z" emblem... more closely resembles the earlier "240z" sail badge. | 2009-12-19 16:43 | |
| 1970 Datsun 240Z [S30] Den siste revejakta (2008) |

| 1970 Datsun 240Z [S30] Top Gun (1986) | 1970-72 240z based on where the front bumper rub strips end (indicating where the bumper guards would be if they hadn't been removed) | 2009-12-19 16:35 | |
| 1970 Datsun 240Z [S30] Out on Bail (1989) | 1970-72 240z based on where the front bumper rub strips end (indicating where the bumper guards would be if they hadn't been removed) | 2009-12-19 16:33 | |
| Nissan Silvia Khun krabii hiiroh (2004) |
these headlights are recessed pencil beams behind a lexan lens of some sort... not roll-forwards. not something that came to america in this form, so my usefulness is limited, but from the thumbnail of the left rear i'd make it most likely a nissan - probably in the 240sx/silvia body from the mid '90s. if not, possibly a mitsubishi product? tried hard, but i sure can't make it german. -- Last edit: 2009-12-19 16:30:26 |

| 1992 Mazda MX-5 Miata [NA] Go (1999) | 1992... one year only color - "sunburst yellow". one of 1,519 produced. | 2009-12-18 04:02 | |
| 1964 Pontiac Bonneville Vista Hardtop Sedan [2839] Mr. Majestyk (1974) | 1964 | 2009-12-16 05:25 | |
| 1979 Nissan Silvia [S110] Tokyo-Ga (1985) | not specifically familiar with what it would be branded in tokyo, but this is some variation of the datsun/nissan 200sx/silvia from the 1980-83 era. | 2009-12-16 05:12 | |
| 1977 Datsun 280Z [S30] Michael Jackson: What Really Happened (2007) | the quarter/sail window post looks strange in this shot (wider than it is), but by the nose, and the location of the fender emblems, this is a 280z [S30]... 1977-78 based on the hubcaps and bumper. | 2009-12-15 05:43 | |
| 1982 Datsun 280ZX 2+2 [S130] Amos & Andrew (1993) | 2+2 [S130] | 2009-12-11 22:13 | |

| 1975 Datsun 280Z [S30] Dr. Strange (1978) |
... what we have here is a (somewhat blurry) 1974.5 260z, or much more likely a 1975 or 1976 280z. they've all been listed here as "1975 Datsun 280z [S30]". -- Last edit: 2009-12-11 22:03:04 |

| 1967 Datsun Sports 1600 [SPL311] CHiPs (1977-1983) | - and as a bonus - the first foot or so of a 1972 240z following behind, just in case the roadster runs out of gas. (110 red was offered from 9/'71 on for the '72 model year, and the front bumper style makes the car a '70-'72... so '72 only for that one) | 2009-12-09 01:08 | |
| 1968 Honda S800 M Convertible [AS800] Orochi (2008) | looks like a honda S800... probably around 1968... but for certain - NOT - my specialty. | 2009-12-08 03:03 | |
| 1983 Toyota Celica GT-S [RA65] Brewster's Millions (1985) | 83 toyota celica GT-S coupe... '82 and '83 were the only 2 years that would have had the roll forward style pop-up headlights, and the GT-S models were introduced late in 1982 for the '83 model year. the flares and wheels make it a GT-S rather than just a an ST/GT. '84 and '85 would have been this body style as well, but would have had the more standard flip-up style headlights with the black covers integral with the grille. | 2009-12-06 06:05 | |
| 1977 BMW 320i [E21] CHiPs (1977-1983) | 320i | 2009-12-06 05:56 | |
| 1979 Toyota Celica Supra Mk.I [MA46] Mr. Merlin (1981-1982) | [MA46] in the U.S. - where this was filmed | 2009-12-06 05:44 | |
| 1979 Toyota Celica Supra Mk.I [MA46] Murder, She Wrote (1984-1996) | [MA46] | 2009-12-06 05:42 | |
| 2004 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum [R50] Fala zbrodni (2003-2008) | 2005 would be the new body style. this one is a 2002-04. body color door handles make it VERY likely an '04, and probably a "platinum edition" as well, which would be fitted with the hyper-silver finished 17" wheels. this one does have the 17" wheels, but because of the shadow i can't tell for certain whether they're finished in the hyper-silver, or the regular silver metallic. there's one that looks just like this - save for the shape of the license plate - parked in my garage. | 2009-12-06 05:39 | |
| 1977 Pontiac Firebird Esprit Dexter (2006-2013) | surely not. is it an Esprit? | 2009-12-06 03:38 | |
| 1968 Datsun Sports 2000 [SRL311] The History of Nissan Z: The Definitive Story | if this is to be presumed as intended for the U.S. market by the left hand drive... and everything above is correct - which it seems to be... this needs to move to the datsun sports category and lose the fairlady name that was never associated with these models in the U.S. - rather a "Datsun Sports 2000 [SRL311]" | 2009-12-06 00:40 | |
| 1961 Datsun Fairlady [SPL213] The History of Nissan Z: The Definitive Story |
~ while true that for later models the roadsters were sold as "Fairlady" models in Japan, and by use of their displacement as a model name in the U.S. ("Sports 1500", "Sports 1600", "Sports 2000")... for 1959-61 (SPL211, SPL212, and SPL213) these cars WERE sold in the U.S. badged as "Fairlady" models. this car would be a Datsun Fairlady (with a 1200cc motor, though that wasn't yet used in place of the model name). -- Last edit: 2010-01-17 22:34:48 |
