1972 Ferrari 365 GTS/4 'Daytona Spyder' The Gumball Rally (1976)	This particular example is actually a 1972 model. According to the July/August 2006 issue of Motor Trend Classic it is serial number 14829 and now resides in the Petersen Automotive Museum (petersen.org) The other genuine Daytona Spyder (serial number 16467) was crashed during filming, rebuilt, "crashed" again onscreen by Kris Kristofferson in 1976's "A Star Is Born" and then converted into a "NART Spyder" (however this is disputed by former owner Joseph Crevier). Prior to the Petersen Musuem, 14829 was in the collection of Noel and Mel (the voice of Bugs Bunny) Blanc. Since Gumball, this car has since been restored and repainted. 1966 AC Shelby Cobra 427 [CSX3255] The Gumball Rally (1976)	This particular example is actually a 1966 model. According to the July/August 2006 issue of Motor Trend Classic, it is serial number CSX3255. Another authentic Cobra (serial number CSX3243) and a replica were also used in filming. One of the Cobras (it is unclear which) sustained some nose damage during a crash into the L.A. River's concrete wall during filming. The car has since been repainted in red.	2007-10-30 03:34
