A lucky background car sighting. This is the kind of passing-by background car people should list, not ordinary stuff. It's also a good picture of Woody Allen. -- Last edit: 2007-07-29 19:15:54 |

| Louis Theroux's Weird Weekends (1998-2000) |
Some of these episodes can be found on Youtube, and I highly recommend watching them. British documentary maker Louis Theroux investigates unusual subcultures in America, such as the pornographic movie industry, professionial wrestling and white supremacist organisations, he also sometimes looks at subcultures elsewhere in the world, such as the mail-order bride industry in Thailand and white South African nationalists. Using his unique blend of affability and faux-naivity Louis gets his subjects to lower their guard and let him into their world, exposing their true nature for the camera. These episodes are very funny in places but also fascinating and sometimes slightly frightening, Louis really comes across some bizarre people during his travels -- Last edit: 2007-07-26 14:40:47 |

| 1994 Mercedes-Benz S-Klasse [W140] Jeremy Clarkson's Motorworld (1995-1996) | I've seen the episode where he goes to Vietnam and I can't remember seeing any new Mercs in it. Hardly anyone over there seemed to have cars (the program was made in 1995) they all rode around on bicycles and motorbikes. The few cars you did see were ancient and customized to fit a dozen passengers inside, at one point Jeremy drives an old Soviet UAZ 4x4, which he says is one of the worst cars he's ever driven. | 2007-07-25 16:37 | |
| 1991 Mercedes-Benz 500 SE [W140] Jeremy Clarkson's Motorworld (1995-1996) | It's funny when he's talking to the (supposedly) Yakuza man, he asks him "What would you say if I offered you a lift home in my old Nissan Micra with fag packets on the floor?" then the man replies in Japanese which the voiceover translates as "I'd say thank you very much!" | 2007-07-25 16:32 | |

| I'm Alan Partridge (1997-2002) |
There's an early episode of Top Gear (the current format) on Youtube where Steve Coogan appears as a guest (the Star In a Reasonably Priced Car), and he talks to Jeremy Clarkson about the second series of I'm Alan Partridge where Alan swaps his Rover for a Lexus and also how Clarkson was partly the inspiration for the character (the bits where Alan fronts his own car crash videos). You can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OePPY7b1Ut4&mode=related&search= Coogan comes onto the show at about 04:30. In the next part of the episode ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCvTrTZB-k0&NR=1 ) we see Coogan taking the Top Gear Suzuki Liana round the track, he also turns out to be an expert on Volvos (to a rather astounding degree). |

| White Chicks (2004) |
Is this film worth watching at all? Even if you're in desperate need of a little entertainment? It's just that this film has a bit of a bad reputation and it looks pretty dodgy. My sister has the DVD and I wonder if I should update the pictures with higher quality DVD stills, but then I feel I have to actually watch a film all the way through before I take pictures from it. But then the existing captures are already pretty good, maybe I should just leave it. -- Last edit: 2007-07-24 00:47:52 |
